I offer my mediation services for any un happily married characters in the world of L2.
Serious Note: Any benefits to getting married? After watching that one cartoon video one would think that a married couple could teleport to one another anywhere in game. Of course I know this is a video that was all animation, but I do believe it would be cool if there was some perk to getting married....since there really isnt one in real life...besides tax breaks
married characters could teleport to each other in lineage 1 (from what I've heard at least)!
In lineage 2 it is simply role-play to get married. When they were designing c4 they had a poll on the official korean site asking what players wanted most (fishing, more monster track stuff, getting married, and something else were on the list).
Fishing won, but they still included the wedding dress and tuxedo because it came in second place.
I wish people bet on the races more often. It would be a fun way to get away from the grind. From the rumors I hear they got rid of the dice because people were gambling with them. I'm not sure about that because you could still play bingo and bet on races....
Anyone know why they got rid being able to use the dice?
It's not a rumor. In Lineage(1) you can teleport a set number of times to your spouse by the use of special rings you can only use whe you are married. I think the most expensive ring allowed for 5 teleports. This is good for people that duo box or irl friends that duo most of the time. I can only hope that they'll include something like this in the next chronicle to make it something more than just role play.
i could careless about this implementation however i think if they did do something like this...you should be able to see the location of the person married to you on the map no matter where she/he is. Also as previously stated a fee is needed to be payed to be 'divorced'. IMO this would be better then the 5 telportations someone said b4 like in L1 and i think it still be resonable to implement. however as said b4 im not much of a roleplayer so whatever doesnt make a difference to me
Mh it's not that much about roleplay.
Yes, it could be fun to imagine to marry someone, but i see it more from an useful point of view.
As someone pointed out before, for people that duo or play a lot together, it's pretty nice to be able to port to each other.
When you stop playing together or you argue, you divorce.
It's like joining and leaving clan ;)
