I can’t seem to locate any info on C4 pets here on this web site.
Can some one explain the new C4 pets to me and what is unique to each pet? Where do I start quest for new pets?

The new pets I have seen are the cougar, buffalo and the two headed bird. Please explain these new pets to me if yea can...
What skills do the have and any other features about them?

Thanks!
You can get the cougar from the pet manager in Giran. It took me maybe a half hour to get it.
What does the cougar do? Heals you randomly (depending on how low your health is) for 26HP a swing (he swings his paw at you to heal you) and then he dies from pulling agro. Then you have to spend time to get him back where he was then dies again from random stupid stuff (some of which is my fault).
How do you safel level one? Get in a group and put the cougar (or random dying pet) in a corner of some room away from harm and just power level the thing. Make sure you don't call it to close to you cause it can pull mobs (and die).
I had all sorts of fun trying to level it back to level 26 (its starting level).
They can be fun, but a pain as well.
Cougar - Pet manager Giran
Buffalo - Pet manager Dion
Kukkabura - Pet Manager Gludio

You can safely level one where there are no agro mobs around nor mobs that shoot fireballs (multiple hit)

The only thing im curious about is: at what level will they be able to buff too? 55 like striders?
Can anyone tell me when pets get to do buffs? at what level?
Check out the quest guides on lineage2.stratics.com they have information on at least how to obtain them.

We are atm lacking a pet section.
The baby pets only heal, never buff, regardless of level.
Awww although Richman's information is pretty much correct, there are much nicer ways of describing what a pet can do for you. ;)

I've got my baby cougar with my lvl 63 main (piece of cake hehe) and then transfered it to my (back then) lvl 16 alt elven fighter. The cougar was dark red for my elf when I targeted it. ^^

As I usually don't twink my alts it was not too easy to solo with the elven fighter (sword and shield, no newbie benefits) and I often had to rest even against green mobs. When I had the pet out however, I could hunt nonstop, the pet would always get my HP up in a few "swings". ;)

I transfered a "few" blessed pet rez scrolls with it to my main... one day later I transfered more pet rez scrolls... the next day I bought a load of new pet rez scrolls... ^_^ But I think I finally figured it out now. The pet dies maybe once per afternoon, even tho I have it with me while fighting. It never draws aggro from mobs I fight, only occasion that might lead to it's death are mobs respawning between me and my little helper friend.

So... what can I say... hunting with a pet is faster, economically worth it, and after you figured it out a lot of fun. ^___^

I love my little kitty, hope I can use it one day to farm mats "solo" with my BH main.

okay here it goes... there are 2 new types of pets in C4, note i said type not breed... there are 3 breeds and 2 types of each breed, hope thats clear here so your not confused. theres "Tamed pets" and "trained pets" trained pets are the ones you quest for, Baby Cougar, Baby Buffalo, Baby kookaburra, you can check the quests to get them on this site all mid to high 20's. trained pets will ALWAYS be in thier baby form, absolutely cute in every way... they will follow you and take 10% of the exp you earn to level, unlike hatchlings and wolves who need to do damage. when your HP is critical thier heal will do more - example: cougar heals 26 HP when your bar shows 2/3 full, when your bar is near empty and blinking the cougar will heal you for 100hp once, using most of its mana, but they regenerate fast. the higher the baby pet gets, the bigger its heals get! if your feeling particularly wealthy you can buy blessed res scrolls (highly reccommended) and/or pet sps or bsps from the pet manager (improves heal a bit, very expensive, not reccommended for everyday use)

okay thats settled, next are the tamed pets... these you get at the beast farm, they will buff you, and recharge the MP of nuker classes, HP for fighters BUT there are a few problems with these, and big ones too... first, you should be at least 55-60 to tame one (they are in Beast Farm north of rune) note: they will still be dark red to you at 55, but you wont die before taking 3 steps if you fail to tame one... taming one requires feeding it golden or crystal spice purchased from vendors at the farm, feed the baby animals (they look just like trained pets only thier monsters, they social and the other mobs will agro you so be careful) if the baby animal you feed does not become tamed by the time it grows to 4x HP you will have to kill it, not all of them are friendly enough to be your pet :P if you do however manage to tame one, it will always stay a monster, it can be killed by other players as well as other monsters... it will give you buffs, seems to be more buffs given if you have less self buffs active, and they will heal you from time to time... also! they will randomly run off and never return, will rarely follow you through a soe or teleport and will attack you if you run out of spice for them, which they eat straight from your pocket... tamed pets do not have a control item so cannot be taken elsewhere easily, they can be killed, silenced, rooted, slept etc etc anywhere ingame by any player ingame, be you in town or out hunting. Tamed pets do seem to hang around longer if you stay hunting in the same area on the farm where you tamed it, in my experience anyway.

So! tamed pets are loads cheaper, yet unreliable in some ways and have a lot of limits. trained pets are a bit more expensive and a little less skilled, but thier fairly easy to obtain, will always be there (unless thier poor example of a parent fails to res the poor thing) you can get them earlier, and thier definitely cuter :P
which one you prefer is up to you, i would suggest trying both as soon as your big enough, altho you may want to bring some helpful friends when you venture up to the farm, those can hurt a bit.
