Stealing?

last day I was returning in town with my wife and has we were speaking to a NPC,a strange message appeared on my wife chat box. "Attention:(Player Name Deleted) picked up helmet",after checking we find that said player have stolen her helmet on her head!!! is there any ability to steal others belonging?I have searched through the class skills and find none so far,asking for said player to give back what he/she has stolen simply made said player make PKing menace then change his/her character to a higher level and PK us...nice way to finish an alread bad day started with Bots robbing us of kills and loots in a spider nest full of bots only(is there any players here any more?)

There is no stealing skill, and the message appears for items that are on the ground. If you are absolutely sure, that you did not drop that helmet, use the petition system, and make your claims in a calm serious tone.

If we have forgoten something and just to be sure,when somewhat drop what ever item on the floor and take the item back and is not in our party,clan or whatever,is there any message to all those in a certain distance around him/her appearing in the new extra chat window?we were on the party chat window on the lower window at this time.

Yes, the entire surrounding area receives a system message when someone picks up a full item nearby.

did you drop the helm on the ground? if not you should petition ncsoft if it "just" dissapeard.

THX Tukker,I think the helmet "warped",as we have checked each death to see If any of my wife character belonging was dropped(my character was alway near on her body to check before she returned to the village and we alway take extra care to check this) When we started the "Grim Collector" quest she have it on her head,do not died at all, the "disapearance" was discovered when we were speaking to Varsek(to "assemble" whole skeleton").We are sure that she does not dropped it on the floor.
