new map system question

As u all have always been so kind in helping me, i was wandering if anybody knows the use of the switch "Target loc" that now in C4 appears on the map.
Is there a way to choose a certain location and see it on the map?

Target Loc's button has been on the map forever though. :p

wow i did not remember there was also before: so i'll re-make my question: is the "Target loc." botton on map of any use in C4?

Target location is for showing on map the pointer for quest that have pointers enabled (eg. Certain NPC or area)

as eriann said it's for quest locations. if you have a quest selected which has a location in the quest menu and open your map there will be a little yellow tack on the map.

yes, i know what you mean, but that yellow dot for quest locations is shown on the map even if i don't push the "target location" button though, i think

Target loc centers your map on the tack.
