i wonder if i could use my plaync account to play e.g. some asian version of the game.
so far i tried logging in using the japanese client, but it just keeps telling me to "try again later" (in japanese), if i try to log in.
maybe you guys got some hint for me, if this is actually possible, or if there is some 'official' statement from plaync about why this is not working / wanted.
If you got an NA-Account, you can only play on the NA servers with it, same as with the japansese, chinese or korean accounts, you can only access teh respective servers of those accounts.
it saddens me that this might not be changed in the future since i'm probably just one out of very few players who would actually be interested to experience playing with people from 'other cultures'.
but yeah, i could buy the game for a second time.. and a third or fourth.. guess i won't

Wrong sorry - The asians can see all the servers. You can also change your registry if you want to play there, but will need a copy of asian LineageII, as thats what its doing is checking your registry and not allowing you access to the game.
Same thing with many japanase webites they wont let you on there site its got something to do with the diffent laws.
Edit the way i worded it may get misinterpited so, its proof if you look on this forums there is asians here that can play and understand our language they live in asia so its fact not fiction they can see and play our servers we cannot see or play there servers ok.
A multi culture server would rock my socks. One massive universal server would be...awsome. Although the problems of discrimination and racism will most likely arrise.
Yes, Asians can play on NA-Servers. But they need an account that is payable to NCsoftNA, not NCsoftKorea, China, Japan or whereelse.
At least, that is, how I did understand it. The one you pay is the one to allow you on their servers.
The koreans got their own servers btw, they got the same 1-9 names as we do, and another 30 something other servers. And the first 9 are their own, they are not the same servers as our nine servers. A korean, who is logging in on korean bartz will not appear on our bartz.
And with my account, paid to NCsoftNA, I cannot login on a korean server.
