What happened to Master Toma in C4

So I am doing the scavenger quest, and I got Master Toma fine on his little island on the north coast where he always is, but then when he teleported away, he was nowhere to be found at ANY of the 3 sposts he's usually at. I teleported around over and over again to make sure, but no Toma at all :(

Did they change his locations in C4?

Not as far as I experienced at 2 of the locations while doing the 2nd profession change quests. I did them for a Warsmith the first week of C4. Toma was in the usual places. (He teleported on me once so I had to track him down.) Island on North Coast? Check. Outside north entrance to Mithril Mines? Check.

I think it's safe to assume that he still appears in the first spiral stairwell in Abandoned Coal Mines, but if someone can contradict this, please do.

Doesn't this fall under Player Questions?
I checked all 3 locations...no Toma :( Except for the island where he was the first time I went up there. *sigh*

Maybe there's a 4th location now?
I have seen him at all three traditional locations since C4.
Thats odd, how could I have missed him.
He was on coffee break. He does that at times, after people bug him to much.

Seriously though, I had the bad luck of the stupid critter teleporting right to the location after I left it, so it appeared, as if he was not at any of the three locations. But unless you can watch all three spots at the same time, you can never be sure, if he is at the other one.

Hating Toma since 2004 - Kitten
I had good luck finding tome on the C4 PTS... once in the "spiral" in the coal mines and the other time infront of Mithril Mines.

He must have invented that teleporter device to escape from angry mobs of dwarf youngsters... everyone hates him. Really.

Nah, that ain't it. I was angry at loosing 30% xp at tonight's siege so I 'nabbed the old coot so I use him for karate practice for a lil while. I'll return him relatively unharmed in a few days. Trust me :p
after a (npc) server restart master toma spawns outside of the mithril mines .... that makes it easy to track him down :)
Yes, you can be sure that he's at no other spot if you repeatedly do all 3 spots in rapid succession. Unless he ports every 2 minutes, I should have caught him at one of the 3 spots.

Very weird.

PS. Btw, Zerberus, TS isn't shut down, the server just borked completely and will be back up tomorrow.

You aren't porting to the Mithril Mines spot are you? That is the west entrance, and you need the north (which you can only run to from North Coast port).

Just checking.

I've run to all three spots before and never seen him but started to back track and ran into him at a spot that I had previously looks a few minutes before.
Pre C4 doing the quest one person was on island, I was in mithril mine at his spawn point, and another player was in front of the abandoned mines..no Tomas. All three of his spawn points covered and after about 45 minutes he appeared on the island.

maybe a high level dwarf decided it was payback time - it may take Toma 45+ minutes to respawn :D

well there is part of the difficulty - the coal mines he appears at the bottom, not at the entrance
where on the island does he spawn? its a little one but the cliffs are in the way so either you gotta run around it all the time looking for him or know where he spawns ;)

At the very top of it. You really can't miss him if you run up to the water's edge.

He spawns at the top of the island. If you climb up from the south side, you will see a little flat area at the top; that's the spot. You can see him from the shore if you are west of the little river, but not from the eastern shore.

In the ACM, he is at the bottom of the 'staircase' (actually, a spiral wood/rock ramp) in the 'fourth' room from the entrance. That area used to be empty, but there are mobs there now. Oh, there is a second staircase, which you see if you come in from the Mithril Mines. That is not the correct one though.

I don't know if you can kill Toma. I would hope not. He is hard enough to find without having to look in heaven and hell as well.

Hell. That dwarf had BETTER be going to hell.
Why he is the ONLY teleporting NPC in the game is absolutely beyond me.

'Cuz dorfs deserve to be tortured.
I'll remember that when you need something crafted :(

Because NCSoft wanted to encourage people to play artisans? I personally knew five dwarves on Hindemith who went Artisan after initial scavenger plans after despairing on their hunt for Toma or one of his inane tasks.

I don't need crafting. Full drops fall right into my lap. I'm blessed, I tell ya!

its my understanding that ws's have to find him more
isnt it 3 times for the ws job change?

Yes. Two times for the Broken teleporter part of the quest and once to get his "dues."
