I have a friend who has tried and likes L2. He wants to play the game. I have visited local retailers which previously sold the game like GameStop and BestBuy. They no longer carry the game.
I tried online and was not able to find a copy of the game at any retailer. I tried the NC Soft official site and was offered two option. One was a link to EBGames. I tried the link and received a webpage stating the product was no longer offered. The 2nd option was to purchase a cd key online for $50. Since the cd's have been from $10-20 for the last 6+ months in stores I think $50 is way too much.
Can you please update the NC Soft site to remove the EBGames link? Also can you please tell us where we can buy Lineage2? Please verify that any vendor name you offer has copies in stock. If no one sells the game anymore then how can we possibly attract new players? :(
As a side note, my friend purchased a game online through amazon.com He opened the box and tried to activate the account but the cd key was already in use. He contacted NC Soft for help and they shared Amazon.com stores are NOT authorized retailers for L2 and no support would be offered. They suggested he contact the retailer for a refund. And I saw the box it was in perfect condition, seals in tact on both top and bottom. FYI
