Well i wanna know which class is best for farming (ranged classes seem to be bad for that).Curently im trying a Scav,Arti,Sorc and Elf ranger (the ranger kinda sux).
I was gonna try a gladi next but decided to ask here first.
Im looking for a melee class that has little to no downtime and doesnt use TOO much mana (you need it to farm).
What would you suggest?
DarkWizzard/SH all the day. (good for manor too, early lvl). I suppose you mean seeding by farming.
At 25 lvl you have b2m, you can delevel if you need to seed lower. I found my darkwizzard extremly good (you may need to melee! but drain replish all the HP).
Zero downtime for that matter - max one sps (non blessed) per mob.
First a mage needs to run to mob for seed,after that he can either kill the mob from 0 range OR move away and kill it.
My mage kills 1k mobs per day,my lvl 25 Scav kills 1k mobs per day.Both are spamming shots.The scav has no batlle skills.With a mage you can hit the mob-it comes near you seed while mob is hitting you-then kill it!(too risky).Also SH doesnt have Aura flare-just in case things go bad!
Note: at early lvl dark wizzard can effectively kill w/ melee and drain. Very effectively, imo.
At higher lvls unless you have a buff slave no melee is effective solo (probably a WC only but WC is slow to lvl up). SH has superb good drain to save you in 1v1 case w/ mobs (also sleep).
W/ acu 3 potion you can do it this way: nuke, slow (you may skip slow in most cases), seed, run back a bit, nuke again (probably shadow flare). B2M.. You may open w/ drain from time to time.
I have found that the best manor farming toons are daggers. Fast kill rate equals many seeds sown and many crops returned. As long as you intend to use him as a pure manor farmer then he'll do just fine.

PS. I do have buffers and I ALWAYS buff my manor farmers.
Problem is i mean no buffs at all (you need a second char for that and i mean farming solo(i REALLY think NCSoft should FORBID 2 accounts with 1 owner but...)) and without them the dagger is worse than the Scav (from all of these i find that Scav i the best).I need a melee with VERY fast kill rate and no downtime (yea i know there are no such chars).
a SE buffed dagger w/ alacricity potion doesn't need anything to farm (i mean no SS/heal potions) but that's out of question.
Imo, Dark wizzard w/ summon is no risk task and you dont need blessed shots if you have staff of life.
i might suggest a summoner class played melee... using light armor and duals instead of nuking, with a decent level (you'll need at least 40 to use summons well yuck) your pet can kill monsters relatively well and hold agro so you can seed, perhaps a little expensive but that wasnt specified :P my ES does pretty well with his little horse killing fully buffed -servitor buffs ftw- he can run up plant a seed and whack a monster a few times or nuke once and collect up the goodies ^^
i might add i really hate seeding and really like my little elf, so that might be a bit biased
best toon to farm? summoner, hands down. can solo in one place for literal hours at a time with no down time. as an added bonus, if you decide you want to stay the same level for some time, farming a particularly valauble seed, summon your 90% exp summon, and there you go, no deleveling needed.
summoners are all 40+
the best low lvl farmer is definately a mage
my low lvl sorc would go non stop seeding and 1 hiting mobs
no other melee toon is capable of that
