Your best bet a low levels is to run quests until you are sick of them and purchase your weapons/exchange for better weapons at the shop. Save your mats for your c-grade and higher crafts later on.
Once you see what basic mats sell for in giran you'll be glad you didn't use them for crafting a 60k weapon.
But do understand that the resale value on a brandish will be disappointing, especially compared to the value of the materials to make it. (55 coal + 110 iron ore plus the blades and recipe)
