After being away from L2 for quite some time I have decided to return, and was wondering about the current state of the game.
Every chronicle so far that I experienced greatly affected the balance of power between the classes. Those who were the most powerful fell, new ones rose to take their place each time.
My question is, which types are currently at the top? I have multiple level 45-58 characters spread across several servers, and am now wondering if I should pick up where I left off with one of them, or start all over again.
I've been browsing the forums here, but haven't been able to find the info I am looking for. I'm hoping that someone can give me some insight as to the games current state, while I sit here waiting for the game to install and update, etc.
C4 gave some benefits for summoner types.
Necro is the current class people are excited about.
Daggers got downgraded in C2, but aside from that, it's been the ranged classes for pvp. For pve, everything works fine still - summoners are group-friendly now.
At the risk of angering the dwarves, no class really got nerfed in C4. The balance of power remains pretty much the same. "Big boom" and area of effect tactics were adjusted from what previously was something of an exploit.
Depends on what you are looking for. I personally suggest going to the smaller servers... or at least one that isn't overflowing in accounts (AKA Bartz, Teon, Kain)....
I suggest Gustin (and I'm biased :D), and then Hindemith or Devianne. After that Lionna and Sieg...
