I think want Divine is doing is hard to accept at first cause we had it so easy, I got really mad first time they won (I was dawn). But it's neat to know not having to shell out 50k and still have a chance to win is there now. I'm no way ecstatic about it, but it is interesting that Dawn did not/could not post better scores in any competition...
Way to block access to the Blacksmith for 2 weeks.
Not the smartest thing I've ever seen an alliance do.
You can thank the sore losers for that one SWE, not Divine. We simply came and won a competition, and there was some good honest competition. Just a few sore losers, to ruin it for all.
question: is divine the only main clan competing for dusk? or are there others there with you, besides random ppl? ie: is there anyone else besides your clan actively competing?

What stopped u from beating our score and changing it? Nothing. We didnt do it at the last moment we started 3 days ago , if yer locked out , its yer fault , not ours.
There are a few alliances that went dusk. During the competition, there a total of 3 non divine that helped out with festivals during the time i was there. A 53 SR, a 40 - 42 bishop, and a bd for 64 and under. I am not sure if I answered your question oxo, but oblivion went dusk as well, and without their help, the dawnies would have made sure the dusk seals were at 33% for all 3. Leave it to the sellouts that don't own castles to come up with a way to screw the server.
NOBODY gets the Blacksmith now, so dont give me that crap we were trying to get the BS. 1/3 of the dusk participants don't all of a sudden go strife, taking the score from 16% to 34%.

Common Sense > Silverwolf
She's just dissapointed, don't be so hard on her. I was alot more ****** the first time divine ninja'd dusk, lol.
Perfectly mirrored teams could be created by Dawn players, but they just don't do it. Whether its difference in time or something, that no limit score (and no offense because it is outstanding) can be beat. The issue at hand, nobody actually cares that much to put significant effort into organizing and doing it. Why? THERE ARE NO NEW CATAS/NECROS Seriously a lame move on NC's part while developing C4. ATM players really don't worry about it. Nobody logs on especially tonight to do the festivals and win. Rather, plenty just exp and don't care. Everyone whined about dusk selling out, now its "lets whine because they win." How long would it take you and your friends in clan to lvl up 9 perfect toons to 31 for the festival. That's all it would take, but they just don't care. The kicker really is, you lvl these chars up, buy them gear, and then you can NEVER take them higher. I'm not a big fan of the festival design :/ But hey, you take what you can get and I sure love the rest of L2.
Nice run Divine, and if people went dusk to screw up your seals, oh well. It was ok to block the no limit festival the first time this happened? What's the old saying? All's fair in love and war.
yes, i understand now ,thx Ivy. what do you mean no one gets the BS? (i dont really pay attn to cata things because I have most of my stuff unsealed, and catas arent my fav place (trains ftl))

So what you are saying is:
Since you can't contribute to the festivals due to class, it isn't significant for the great luke to organize and beat a few scores put up by one alliance. You claim the scores could have been beat luke, prove it. It was up there for 3 DAYS. Its also a server record.
Don't mind me, im just ****** at all the hard work of all the legit players from both sides being thrown into the crapper by a few sore losers, and people that make very ignorant statements.
Before this flame comes up, siffy's final count was 4400. A very valiant attempt.
It doesn't really matter. Let Divine have their Dusk. We have alts in Dusk to buy potions, use Mammon (I know, he's not around) etc ;) and the Cats / Necs aren't that important without the BS (although it would have been nice if he was around)
There are plenty of areas to grind now. It is a shame about Mammon but if you go against the server you can't really expect everyone to be cheering you on
yes, i understand now ,thx Ivy. what do you mean no one gets the BS? (i dont really pay attn to cata things because I have most of my stuff unsealed, and catas arent my fav place (trains ftl))
Since the dawn alts went and tried to even out the %'s, we only got one seal.
You need 35% to win a seal for the first 2 times you win it. Avarice = Necros and trader mammon
Gnosis = Blacksmith and catacombs
Strife = Useless to all sides
With the dusk alts signing up to even out the signs, they are proud that since they couldnt beat the scores, they made sure noone on the server can see the blacksmith, until the seal is rewon. Instead of just conducting business on those alts. Just childish and vindictive.
I don't think anyone really went against the server but went with common sense. Why pay 50K to join in when you can do it for free? I call that smart. It would also help if we know when the blasted thing ends. The Record of the Seven Signs said 1:20am today. Ok it ended about 9:33PM EST for me and that is nowhere near 1:20am CST.
It's just unfortunate that the blacksmith won't be available for awhile but now would be good time to train all those bots flushed from hiding.
Precisely the opposite Ivy. I can't even get people to spend a week lvling alt toons for the lower festivals. I'd love to give you a run for your money, but, frankly, nobody will even care to login and try. I have always liked the idea of the castle vs noncastle competition. The fact is, with classes being as imbalanced as they are, you're correct, there is little I can do to personally kill mobs to win the no limit festival. Are you suggesting I should reroll? Well I guess I'll subclass someday. The shear fact is, nobody seems to give a **** to even try. Divine is very organized with how these things are done and I'm certainly very impressed. The game design has been studied and you've exploited this event to the maximum. (I know the word exploit has negative conotations but it isn't meant like that, I just can't think of a better word atm) No, I don't enjoy the fact that it is an alt war. I'm not a fan of playing 6 different chars, I don't have the time.
I guess you want to be bitter that you won't get benefits from the blacksmith? Or something of this nature? Maybe in your opinion that's a dirty way to fight, but to those Dawners that did, maybe they hope it makes you think twice about keeping this up. Maybe they hope it will inspire more Dawn players to care. I don't know, I'm not an expert on the habits of bitter dawn memebers.
I'm not sure why you decided to get senative. That time of the month? My alt, Deacon, joins dusk at the start of the week and always votes Gnosis because that's why he IS in Dusk, just in case. IMO your throwing a fit over not getting the seal is far more childish than people using a fault in game design. But that's the hockey player in me; if somebody is playin too high tempo, you start hitting hard to cool em down and sometimes that means throwin a couple questionable hits, sometimes it means picking up penalties. It's all part of the game.
But you can take that bitter bs and shove it where the sun don't shine because my post was pretty **** complimentary. I've said nothing but respectful things and congratulations to Divine over this. Aww poor baby, you won the competition but didn't get what you wanted out of it.
Hell, I'm still ****** that I aint been able to get an SA on my sword AGAIN. lol. Oh well, I didnt fight for dawn, I signed up dusk, didnt fight for dusk though either, no seal stones, no festivals.
I recently joined Divine (today).
Everyone just needs to calm down, and get over it, try again next time. Am I saying this cause I'm in divine? no, I'm saying this cause I'm sick of having people complain about divine for putting the competition back into the seven signs competition.
And yes, if dawn woulda won I woulda said congrats, or not said anything at all on forusm.. I dont post here much. anyway, thats my 5cents
I have to honestly say I wish dusk had made the debuff land on dawn, and I'm a dawn char. I saw quiet a few teams at festival busting [censored] for the last day or two. Those teams made a great effort, but for the most part dawn got lazy again. Not taking anything away from dusk, some of the scores you put up were outstanding. I can't say that dawn would have won with more participation.
I see an upside and a downside though. All those who register players on both sides so they can access the blacksmith just got [Censored], which I think is good. The downside is that all the dawn who were lazy this time get away with no debuff and because of that I doubt we will see that much effort out of them next event cycle.
All that aside, great work by the dusk side on another victory and good try to all those I was fighting with on dusk.
Other people did show up to participate in festivals but like I was told more then once I wasn't needed or just outright ignored by the full parties Divine had participating. Hey doesn't matter much to me, the side I signed up for won. I don't require access to Mammon and if I do then I guess I will have to wait.
As for Divine being upset over the outcome of the seals, well I don't really care if they are upset or not.
Sorry, I actually left the keyboard before I hit post on that, and came back a few minutes later, so it ended up farther down the foodchain than expected.
I was told you guys went for seal of strife. So, if that's true, thanks for helping me in my quest to avoid debuffs.
from my point of view it was set at Avarice 35% and Strife 35%.
which of course is all fine and dandy because atleast we were going to win 2 seals but then out of the blue.. strife declined and gnosis and strife balanced out at 32 31 and at one point even avarice was at 34.
I watch the seals VERY closely.. and this all started to happen within the last hour.
I could give a crap less luke about the stupid blacksmith. The point was the childish behavior of a lot of people. Why do I say a lot, cause thats how many it took to affect the signs%. When dawn beat us fair and square two weeeks ago...you didn't see us bytching and whining about which seal won which.
And yes, most of your post was complimentary, until the last paragraph in either one of them. Your first post looked to me as if you just didn't participate, your 2nd speaks for itself.
It doesn't have to be a battle of the alts, if people were trying to help out, on either side. Forming their own groups from their own clans. We only did this for 3 total days out of the week the competition was up. Dawn just wasn't organized.
What ****** me off was people trying to pin the lack of blacksmith on us, like we are the new evil. The few individuals shouting in the dawn oracle room, "quick, take all your alts to sign up for dusk and gnosis." They are the ones that screwed the server out of the BS, not divine. All we did was win a competition. Don't try to take a crap on us afterwards.
My input... Divine is actually playing the seal competition like it should, maybe other alliances should also follow...as mine possibly could. Dusk if for the castleless alliances, dawn is for those that own one. And thats the way divine is playing it, gratz again divine, and oblivion if you helped even though i'll curse you cause im locked out.
As a fellow duskie, I would like to say.. a battle well fought dawn.
 dreekky u meeaan u were supporting dusk in my disc grp omg omg !WTS Adopted Clanmate pm me :D ^.^jus messin with ya drek :) i love ur cat nip
yes kitty sorry to say, i was a mole in your party.. I used you and your archers to get seal stones for dusk muhahhaha!!!!
I dont' think its fair to blame divine for anything.... this forum and server and people in general are crazy.
ONE minute there are posts saying "the competition is dead? why doesn't anyone go Dusk?"
Next minute peopel are booing people who make an attempt and go dusk , and then try to "Get back at them by unbalancing a seal" and in the end hurting everyone.
I think I want to switch programs in college and try physcology, and try to understand people. But then that would put 3 years in college to waste....

And on the converse, some people want you to lose repeatedly until your spirit is broken and you quit going dusk. Now you may say that can't happen, but every person has their price. Look at all the allies suddenly going Dusk now that they win? Fair weather? In some minds, the root and cause of this issue is that Dusk is winning in the first place. Everything is more complicated to others, not everyone sees black & white like you or I.
The conclusion I stated earlier still remains: You are ******* and moaning way too much for having won. And that combined with the login sever being down, annoys me.

Chuck Norris would never cry after a VICTORY.. HIIIYAAAH
I've got a ******ed question. Why no BS of mammon? I mean, all the dawn folks can enter Catacombs and do whatever they feel like in it...but no BS? That makes no effing sense.
Why make the competition so that no one can benefit (BS-wise) from it?
Well fought Divine. You had me stayed up till 3-4am 2 days straight for my whole evening trying to make / use teams to beat that high nolimit score. I broke the dawn nolimit score 4 times; we did quite well I must say, but never got to beat it. At least I got about 5% XP from these festivals. Shame Core took my score at the last moment, 40 and 20 minutes before time, Boohoo my little bonus AA! :p
Thats funny cause when I looked at the seal status mid-week I saw:
Avarice = 42%
Gnosis = 16%
Strife = 42%
Something like that. This was before the alts had decided to sign up. Those that went Dusk to compete had no intentions of getting blacksmith, it was then a few in Dawn saw that we could play with the % and we did.
So close, had Avarice to 34% 10 mins before end of seals :(
I knew I should have done 1st class change quest on so many of my alts.
All fighters for dawn festival.
Even bad organized, bad equiped team, who's making mistakes (maybe in their 1st festival)...you deserve respect. Dont be sad, you do well.
But ... Revolution is here ! Thx to all of dusk who stay even thought last debuffs.
Just PK some people with the Pom-Poms and they'll turn red!!!
The problem that came about this last cycle was when it became evident that Dusk was gonna win with seals of Avarice and Strife, the Dawn players signed all their alts up for Dusk in mass to manipulate the seal scores. At one point they had all the seals below 35%, but luckily Dusk was able to get Avarice back above 35 in the closing minutes. What needs to happen here is that once a person chooses a side with one of their toons, none of their toons can participate for the other side. People will not be able to manipulate the other sides seals, or sabotage their festivals (I admit we did that a few cycles ago) and the outcome will have greater consequences for them as they will not have an alt ready to go into the cats/necros to get the items they need. And I still want to see a higher buy in fee for non-castle owners to go Dawn (at least 500k) if they are allowed at all. NCsoft should fix this game glitch.

I agree with this almost entirely, except there is a small problem with it. Many people have multiple accounts. I would venture to say that a good majority of the people on this server do. But, it does look good on paper. Also, if a clan or alliance doesn't own a castle, their level 40+ characters should not be allowed to participate in Dusk. Other players that are 40+ without a clan affiliation should be allowed to participate as a member of Dawn, but you are right, the fee needs to be increased. But what are we supposed to do about Certificates of Lord's Approval?
While I believe the system itself needs to be overhauled, there is the issue of NC Soft not wanting to mess with their code that is in place. We already have enough game glitches to go around: Shots not firing, NPC's that don't work properly, quests that can't be completed or done, etc.

I usually just throw my shots on the ground and stomp on em if they dont work...Then i get that icky liquid inside the container all over my feet and wind up pking some random guy watching at me and laughing
ya Divine FTW.
I joined Dusk this time as well,(rather not paying 50k to NPC, or pay u castle owner 30k fot that dawn paper.)
i have been sitting in that festival area for few days, and see if i could help any. however nuker grp kick *** XD nothing i can help out. even thought at least i was there.
If anyone needs blacksmith at all holla at me in game. I'll unseal anything or get ya anything for free.
Been away for a few days was wondering did we win strife for dusk also ?
Like I said in a previous post castle holders need to rally the support of other allainces to fight for dawn to protect their castles. Instead suring the cycle we still see dwarfs setup outside every dawn preist selling the dawn certs (making a profit).....
S'all good, least the festivals are lively and a big part of the game again...
Anyone know about this dimesion rift and where i can find out info also.
you made it too easy for divine and oblivion and the other dusk
This was not made "too easy" for Dusk. We set new records in every festival this time around. Anyone would be hard pressed to beat our scores... as the people in Dawn found out.
i just wish dawn would finally realize you cant just sit on ur *** anymore to win the seals.
divine didnt win it coz theyr great, divine won it coz dawn is lazy and is not doing festivals with everything they have.
i was watching the festivals and mostly, i only saw Legends and Epoch giving their best to win it for dawn.
where is the rest of the server?? you made it too easy for divine and oblivion and the other dusk.
As was some of Storm Sunday night.
Which ally has a perfect party of 5 SH, 2 EE, SE, BD all 75+? Not to mention, all online at the same time? 5 strands of rope are easily broken one at a time.
There is no BS this cycle pump. Thats what the crying is all about in this thread. Divine ****** becasue they think dawn deliberately put alts in other seals so it would turn out this way. I just wish all seals would have had 33-34%. Then no Mammons at all. Then see how many people sign up for the "winning" side next time.
Which ally has a perfect party of 5 SH, 2 EE, SE, BD all 75+? Not to mention, all online at the same time?
we had :)
even if there were 2SE and a bish instead of ur setup , and not even all 75+
its just a question of organisation , skills and the passion to win
/sigh People always twist things in ******ed ways.
Talented players, organization, "passion," thats all fine and dandy, but this game is not that complex. As Domi put it, this game is not very skill based, most of it involves hitting a button and watching your character do things.
My point is simply, your scores can be beaten because as your characters lvl up they will score better and you know that. There is an obvious advantage to higher level players with higher level skill sets. So don't try to knock the importance of levels. A team of 65s vs a team of 75s on the no limit, the winner is obvious unless there is lag, disconnect, or purchased accounts involved.

Once again calling others ignorant now sithy? Tell me what skills you get at 75 that make you a better player than the 74. Or for that matter, as an SE, 72.
Quit breathing your own air for a bit and you will realize you are both saying the same thing.
Once again calling others ignorant now sithy? Tell me what skills you get at 75 that make you a better player than the 74. Or for that matter, as an SE, 72.
A lot of it is gear. A 75 SE has slightly more mp/hp than a 72.. I'd like to see some noblesse do the festivals, tell you the truth.
It's skill. Plain skill and teamwork. And I don't know a single alliance with more skill and teamwork than Divine.
That said, I'm grown up again today. Sorry bout my temper tantrum, Ivy
I agree the noblesse makes a small difference. We happen to have a few. What I meant was learned skills though. The passives add about 20-30 mp. A 72 se vs a 74 se, I don't believe the difference is that noticeable. I am only basing that off the conversations with the SE's in my clan.
Thank you for the compliments SWE, like many other people, we worked very hard to accomplish those scores, and the one thing we can't control is who signs up for what. Nor what the winning duskies do promptly after the festivals are over...like anakim. We felt the fruits of our labor sour last night, and on top of not being able to get back in after a d/c, it was just too ****ed much.
I do know, I was saddened to see a bot train still running in branded this morning, until I realized they could still be dawn, as the place is sealed. I trained them of course, but they saw it coming and forcelogged :(.
That I'll agree to. You cannot suggest that a lvl 72 and a lvl 75 are the same. If equal talent, obviously the higher lvl wins aside from blind luck. My point remains, Dawn mostly concern themselves with fighting eachother in many circumstances. As a result the communications and teamwork to do the festivals is less.
Tell me how a 72 nuker is as good as a 76? Suddenly you see how prominent these elements stand out.
I'd also like to point out some major flaws in the 7signs system. For example building on the idea it's about party setup 90% and skill and how you execute 10%. Seriously you can't expect a Plainswalker lvl 75 to have any impact on the no limit festival. The festivals are for a select group of classes, namely SH's, Necro's, bd's, SE's, EE's and possibly SWS especially at 77+. Can a Gladiator help win this? Not unless he has +50 duals and even then its close just because it takes time to run to mobs.
I have to depend on these select classes to win for my side, if they don't then I'm royally screwed. Of course theres the example where my subclass happened to be lvl 53 and a Necromancer, so I went for it. Guess what? I found the right classes and went for it! If I let out the tank, sws and SPS and Sorc and had a EE to replace one and 2 SE/Necro to replace the others we could of even beat the score this week, probably 5000+. So if dawn wants to win get sub's or alts at the right levels and the right classes and go for it.
I also find it amusing that anyone on here would complain about anyone using the rules of the festival, as written, to avoid suffering debuffs for the week. Sounds pretty freakin' smart to me!
If somebody came up to you with a shabby t-shirt and sweatpants with a very very dirty smell coming from them, and they screamed at you "I'll take you all on! N00bz! 1v1 !I'll pwn u!!" You could tell from a mile away that they were from Hindemith.
A man walks into Dennys and the waitress asks him Pepsi or Coke?
He tilts the brim of his hat and says Ice tea, mam
Everyone drops their cutlery; a baby begins to cry in the distance.
The waitress presses him PEPSI or COKE SIR?
The thirsty stranger stands up, pulls two fingers out of his pocket, points it at the crying baby and says Bang!
He walks out of the Dennys, thirsty,.. but of his own free will.
*no real babies were injured*
WAWAWA WA WA WA ,. . WAWAWA WA WA WA WA.
Yeah, they forgot to mention the archers. They're just as good to have there as the SH's and Necros, because they don't run out of mana as quickly, though it may take them a shot or two more.

Necro/SH + cursed bones + EE/SE = enough mana and power to go all day.
Are you kidding? Some of the dawn festivals, the archers were sitting before the 1st wave of mobs changed...not 7 minutes in...
Yep as are SpS. Nukers with b2m festival.
I'd Like to beg to differ. Don't count us SpS out, I was in the Dusk winning score party and I never sat once...I laid down at the end but thats not the point. If you have great teamwork along with someone who knows how to recharge, it gets done.
Grats to both sides...it was fun and I look forward to some more fun.
