Slowly approaching the 61 level (currently at 58) and I was looking around for some stats for the A grade armor.
This duo is made by a BD and SE.
The BD is maily tanking and damage dealing. She has +4STR, +4DEX and, unfortunately, a wopping -8CON (Tatoos).
The SE is mainly buffer, healing support, recharger and added damage. She has also a +4STR and -4 CON (only 1 tatoo, AA run out.....).
Now, the ladies are mainly playing alone. Right now, and as several of you helped for the B grade, the SE is set up with Light Doom and sls+tsu.
For A grade, what would be the right set up?
BD
For the BD, I saw several of them running around with
Tallum Heavy [Atk. Spd +8%, STR +2, CON -2, Poison and Bleed Resist +80%]
Attack speed here is very nice, but, wouldn't be better in this set up to use the Majestic one?
Majestic Heavy [P.Atk. +4%, Accuracy +3, STR +2, CON -2, Stun Resist +50%]
Apart the fact that Majestic will give +25 DEF in comparison with the Tallum, there is that 50% less stun which is very attractive having mentioned the -8 CON the BD "suffers" from her 2 tatoos.
Not to mention that running with the rear in g string (tallum) can be somehow "embarassing" at time.....
SE
First question would be, follow the same set up from the B grade range and go again full attack with Light Armor?
If yes, Dark Crytal would be the only one suitable, right?
Dark Crystal Light [Atk. Spd. +4%, P. Atk +4%, STR +1, CON -1, Paralysis Resist +50%]
The only other option I see would be the Tallum Light, but the MP boni wouldn't really help for a full atk duo, I guess
Tallum Light [MP Regen. +8%, MP +222, Men +2, WIT -2, Poison and Bleed Resist +80%]
If Light Armor is not good for 61-75 range with this combo, then Robe (Majestic, I guess?)...
Majestic Robe [MP +240, Casting Spd. +15%, MP Regen +8% Men +1, INT -1, Stun Resist +50%.
Or better give some P def with a Dark Crystal one (horrible design, btw...and no MP bonus)
Dark Crystal Robe [P. Def. +8%, Casting Spd. +15%, Speed +7, WIT +2, MEN -2, Small decrese in chance of spell interruption (lol?)]
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
P.S.
Would be also good to know where to go at 60+ for XP.
Atm EV is pretty sweet, with 10K on Trees, 7,5K on Unicorns and Satyr. This is at lv 58.
But I'm not sure at 60 how much the xp will go down, apart the fact that the Valley is almost always packed..........
get a +1dex -1 con dex tatoo for your 3 tats.... then a Tallum heavy set....
Majestic is more for PVPing.... as the stun resistance is the killer (enless your constantly looking to fight mobs that stun)
Pdef and HP mean nothing if you can't deal the damage..
with VR.... you'll be able to drop similare lvl mobs a whole lot faster, and hit a whole lot harder. Which means that VR is a whole lot more effective.
For example, With a majestic set, i can drop say one mob in roughly 10 seconds. Meanwhile i'm losing roughly 200hp per mob with VR trying to compensate... still lose roughly 200.
With the tallum set, it only takes at most 6 seconds to kill the same mob. I don't lose any HP at all because not only did i kill it faster, but i hit it just as many times and gained just as much hp from the godlyness of VR.
Tallum is PVE armor for any BD that is purely for dealing massive amount of damage and fast kill rates. Only time a BD wouldn't want Tallum most likely is if a bd was setup with tank stats and played more like a tank.
Majestic is more of a PVP Armor. High pdef and resistance to stun is a major bonus. Excellent for a BD tank setup.
I with my +4str +5 Dex -11 con and tallum set (with Dual SLS +4) have dropped/killed a BD 2 lvls higher then me in majestic (unknown tats) with dual +5 TSU/SLS (both of us had full lvl 62 SE Buffs, and both of us put up exact same dances)
The more detailed results is that i had roughly 1/3rd of my hp left when the other BD finally died. IF i PVP though with anyone that can stun, i'm just simply dead if i don't have majestic. They can chain stun me no problem. With Majestic, the 50% resistance combined with the -11 con i have (-9 with tats and -2 with the majestic set) i actually rarely get stunned nearly as often and the stuns wear off much quicker.
I'm going to guess your lvl 61 just now.... as your now looking at A grade. With an SE at your side at all times.
Get a tallum set, with either dual kesh or if you can manage it.. +4 dual Damas. Buff your bd up... grab some GSAs and you'll be able to solo the rooms in ascestics to your hearts content. If dawn wins, those rooms shouldn't have ANY stunners. It'll be nonstop killing as soon as you clear the room, wait roughly 5 seconds and the mobs will start returning.
PvrJudas, when you say kesh*kesh or dama*dama will deal more damage then tsu*sls you are wrong. ok, with a pure haste build, with fury dance, tallum armour, +5 dex, and kesh*kesh, the damage may be higher than tsu*sls+majestic. BUT, it will be a lot LOT LOT expensiver. also, you cant compare a dama*dama+4 vs a tsu*sls+4. for that price of a dama*dama+4 you can get at LEAST +8-+9 tsu*sls, and thats up to 290 p.attack. and I for sure rather have focuz on my duals than accuracy, unless you wanna fight dark red mobs all the time, and if you r soloing thats not a good thing.
at what lvl are you loosing hp when you are soloing, with vr3?
Im 60+, still in my BW (cant affort majestic yet) and tsu*sls, and Im doing fine with vr1 (only have a lowlvl buffer yet) even when Im fighting yellow-red mobs.
well, what I wanna say is, unless you are going for a lot of pvp, dont get a A-grade weapon, unless you get kesh*kesh (but still, it will be expensive in the long run) focuz is the best SA for PvE.
oh yea, +5str/+4dex or +4str/+5dex is the best PvE tatoos as well, but Im not sure if i would dare using them for PvP, as it is, my hp has barely passed 2000, and if you get jumped you wont even have time to understand what is happening befor you are dead.
there is so many different playstyles, but this is what I have been told, and it works for me, and i wont change unless it stops working :)
Thx Pvr, good reference data there
Its Tallum Heavy for the BD then. (going to love running around with a naked butt pointing at the sky....).
the last +1 DEX tatoo is sold from the normal vendor, right?
Any comment on the SE? Armor and last 2 tatoos would be great.
Thanks a lots
still need to get the dyes from mammon, if Im not misstaken. normal vendors dyes are for lvl20-40. not 100% sure tho.
well, I dont remember your first post, but if your SE is just on autofollow, there is no need to use anything else then robes and homu. you wont need much healings so I would go for acumen SA. if he playing a DD, I would equip him with tsu*sls as well. that will deal the most damage for low costs. and with the fire dance they are awesome.
what dances do you dance?
warrior+fire+fury?+hex?
anyways, your SE should never get the aggro, unless you are just standing taking a break or something. Im ALWAYS getting the aggro, even in big TOI partys where most people are 5-10 lvl higher than me, and its anoying..so I think your SE should be fine, and at lvl62 he can take some hits anyway :)
did you say anything about places to lvl?
field of massacre, very easy mobs, give good xp (archers)
beast cave (is that the name? forgot it :/) anyways, they are all x2 mobs, so thats awesome, but i experianced soloing there aint very good xp, not sure tho. its a easy place to solo tho.
TOI first floors. very nice xp, very nice drops, and, very dangerous. ghosts nuke hard, but once you cleared the room, it wont be that bad. your SE prolly has to heal and sleep a bit in the beginning untill the timings are good.
VoS. best XP I have gotten so faar, my vr1 wasent enuff here tho, but it may be enuff with vr3. if you can manage the mobs, here is the place you want to level :)
your a BD in blue wolf.... of course your need the TSU/SLS duals. your blue wolf set takes away DEX ... what does dex do?
increases Criticals.
most of all heavy armors either increase STR or CON.... never DEX... so keep your dex @ +5 and str +4 for tats... this produces the best PVE (and very excellent PVP) results.
Even with Dual SLS +4 with a Tallum heavy set and those above tatos, i can kill much faster then when i use my TSU/SLS +4 duals..... I don't care what anyone says, i've tested it, and i've had other fellow BDs test it.... I will agree that it's not for every bd as they have different setups, but any BD that i've converted from a TSU/SLS duals is greatly pleased with the results. It REQUIRES you have +5 dex and DO NOT wear a BLUE WOLF set. It's actually BETTER to have the avadon heavy set for a BD then it is to have the BW set due to the negative dex that's included with it.
DEX is the most potent tatoo you can get for a DD.... your evasion, speed, atk speed, criticals increase... With +5 dex, i run faster then a untouched BD in BW... I kill faster then a +5str +4 dex with BW on and TSU/SLS...
I've killed with a mix Majestic/Tallum set (no ARMOR SAs) BDs with TSU/SLS with my dual SLS with plenty of HP to spare
Please do not tell me what i suggested is WRONG if you have never tried it. You want to lay some serious damage and huge criticals constantly and kill a mob. I won't disagree that you'll go through SS's a little quicker, but your going to hit harder and probably only be out TOPS 3 SS per kill if that....
I can easily survive on VR1.... but it's dangerous fighting mobs (having say 3 of them on you) that are the exact or higher lvl then you.
As for the SE, i think a BW set with a homu should be easily plenty. Not many people have moved from BW to A grade due to most buffers/healers prancing around in majestic robes.... (people are mostly disapointed with A grade robes for buffer healers)
Im not saying using duals with haste is wrong, Im just saying focuz+str works for me, and Im not gonna change. there are plenty of ways to play a BD, you said it yourself, I just gave my opinion :)
precisely... i have no problems with other playing just the way they like...
Sorry if i came off a little harsh... but i've had several other people refuse and outright call me a liar about my current BD setup and how well it does..
Frankly it shocks some BD players that i can even manage a steady 5-8 average crits per mob (most i ever got was a crit EVERY time, 14 in a row on a red mob :) )..
@ lvl 61.. in the first rooms in acsetics... with Dual SLS and a mix A grade setup (no armor SAs) and my suggested tatoos.... fully buffed i can deal on average for crits... between 3500-5000dmg per (combined swing)... hit.
And it scares the hell outa some people i've pvped when my first 4 hits are all crits and i stop... giving them time to deside to run or not.. (the flagging game, they start it, i typically have no troubles finishing it)

doom light > all You have no idea what a crit rate is until you put that on.
Anyway to the OP & A-Grade setup:
I'm a strong believer in the focus SA. I'd spend my money OE your own duals to 7 or 8 or try to buy a pair.
For armor, that is tough... there are a lot of mobs that stun, so majestic is very tempting, but tallum really does have the better SA I think...
For your se I'd put in DC light. For duals I'd again say go OE sls*tsu. Focus is quite simply the best SA.
i agree.. doom light is pretty **** slick for a BD if there is absalutely no mobs hitting you often and you got vr1 or better at all times... but it's quite difficult... mob crits really bite..
But soloing from 1-61 isn't bad....52-61 the occasional buff of VR from some stray party member within EV isn't hard to come by quite often.
61 on it really seems like you really need the buffs to manage higher lvls... se/bd duo still is excellent.. but not everyone can two box... let alone find someone that can stay for the exact length of time you play...
yea, solo without buffs is out of question at lvl60+..unless you wana load up with GHP and run to town every 30 min to restock :) and it will get expensive :)
btw, I made some fast calcluations about focus vs haste.
I just tok some numbers I remember from my character, p.attack, crittical rate and attackspeed, and they are not accurate, but shouldent be TO much wrong..
Majestic+TSU*SLS = power 1445*
Tallum+Kesh*Kesh = power 1446*
(* this is not attackpower, its just a number I started with to calculate the bonuses.
As I said befor, with these fast calculations I made, I think the combos are very even, but on friday Ill have the whole day off from work, and Ill sit down and get accurate numbers and do some serious calculations. so dont flame about the numbers I gave here yet, wait to friday :)

i'm guessing you used a kesh*kest +4 and a sls*tsu +4
if that is the case sls*tsu +5 (not to hard to get) would be greater than kesh*kesh +4...
nope, I dident calculate the p.attack of the wepons at all, its almost no different. but, ill do the calculations with TSU*SLS+8 (or maybe +7) and Kesh*Kesh+4.
why? well, cuz they are worth about the same money, at least on bartz server. and the p.attack is, if I remember, tsu*sls+8 = 280, kesh*kesh+4 = 279.
how do you have such adena... i'm sitting with 250k .. and i was given everything i've got..... i don't own any of it... and the people that provided it expect it back....
tsu*sls +7 are 70-80, +8 is 80-100m..depends on who is selling... I would pay 130m for +9 if I could fine anyone selling them :)
I just got my TSU*SLS up to +8...
Funny, I had +10 SLS*SLS that I blew last week trying for 11 (I bought those clean at +0 too...so I really missed them). Anyway, I always second guessed wether or not I should use TSU*SLS instead for crit. I have to say, I think I'm happier with the TSU*SLS, even though the patk is approx 24 less [280 compared to 304]. I can supplement the speed with fury and pots of greater atk spd, and I think I'm going to go tallum when I hit a grade if I can ever afford the darn helm.
Is the extra 4% from the sls*sls really going to make that much of an impact over the crits from tsu*sls?
(I have to say though...sls*sls definitely looked cooler)
I pretty sure TSU*SLS is a lot better then SLS*SLS... but, KESH*KESH may be better that the critt duals.. if you have a lot of money, and can go with high OE kesh duals, they are prolly the best choice, with tallum. but, ts a lot of money for the duals, and *** are a lot more expensive than BSS, and also you will use like 20% more with tallum+Kesh instead of TSU+Majestic... its all about how much money you have :)
