I had a very unpleasant suprise and found out that Disrupt Undead no longer works on Hangman Trees (or the Black Willows for the 2nd Class Change quest).
Healer classes already have so few mobs they can kill, why take away another one?
Yeah I'm curious to know where it is too. Another aggro (in EG anyway) NON undead mob, thanks a lot NCsoft. I'm glad I wasted all those SP's training useless bishop undead skills.

Ellie, check out the undead forest around rune town and forbidden path way. Where one opportunity flees, another presents itself. I'm getting better xp there than Devestated, IF you can justify the port fees XD... Which explains why I RAN and went through forbidden pathway. The stinker part is that all the undead spots are so friggin far away from eachother that you go poor jumping between them and places normal melee like to grind.
Yea.. I got a surprise at the beginning of the last chronicle, when I went to fight the demon tempest with my SE. I had been killing him on a regular basis, just as payback for all the times he f'd me up.. wouldn't let me kill the mobs near him, the Tempest just had no concept of sharing space.
They changed him to demonic from undead at the beginning of last chronicle.. That really messed up my strategy, and after I discovered that I kept my paybacks for Calibus.
Honestly, I never trained all the levels of disrupt undead, just enough to get by the 2nd class change mobs. But this change, particularly the black willow quest mobs, is most unfortunate. Level 15 windstrike to the rescue :p
Ha ha, mostly dead. There's a quest that explains how those trees ended up there, and being in an execution ground with the skeletons of dead people hanging off you well... undead is pretty much what it should be. Poor EG, it's taken multiple hits over time. First the trees were given super speed, then mobs spam cast, now this.
Damit I have a mate ready to hit cleric and then go bishop, this is an unpleasant surprise indeed. Anyone know any mobs 20-30 that are undead and good to level on?

There's still all the other mobs in EG. Neer ghouls, neer ghoul berserkers, spectre, strain. There's the zombie mobs, but they don't count cuz of being slow and magic resistant. But I'm afraid the sorrow maidens aren't undead anymore, either.
The dead seekers have never been undead, despite their name.
Whats a bug thoght, is that it still have hte icon that it say it's weak towards sacred attacks.
Many monsters throughout Aden are weak to Sacred but cannot be hit with disrupt undead. Creatures can be evil, thus aligned against sacred spells, and therefor expose this weakness. As a Paladin, I often hunt undead and holy weak mobs for solo. I notice the pdef and patk boosts, but cannot use my disrupt spell on them. So they are vulnerable to holy weapon.
Trees were very good exp though. I feel bad for newish healers these days, what with the healing pets and changes like this to soloing areas. I did at least 3 levels on those trees.
I hope they work for upper level players, but this really leaves the mid level ones without much to fight.
Yeah, I guess all of dragon valley isn't good enough for your 40's, and the cemetary isn't good enough for your 50's, and DC isn't good enough for your 60's...
Yeah...
Another thing is that some of those trees are quest monsters, for several quests. Some of which are, among others, for healers...
Yay!
Healer classes are f*beep*d as far as any soloing quest goes anyway, thanks a lot for making that even more profound.

Wait, hmm?
:p
It's the upper 30s. Before Dragon Valley.
As a melee character you have a shot at killing pretty much anything you want to try. If you are a healer you are limited to Undead.
Have you actually TRIED to solo a healer in those areas? Might of heaven/disrupt undead has an extremely short range, not very strong, and you can unload all your MP in 3-5 mins and then have 10+ minutes of downtime. Even with a demon set, nuker weapon and empower. Oh I've tried it. If you're lucky enough to have a recharger it might be doable.
I just remember running around with duals nuking those trees to death and getting very good exp. It's too bad other healers will miss out on that.
But I'm afraid the sorrow maidens aren't undead anymore, either.
They were at one time?
Yes, they were at least in C2 and C3.
I guess I'm confused about which mob this is because I was thinking it was the spirit-looking chicks at the top and I don't ever remember them being undead...
I don't think they were undead in C1, but they might have been. I know for a fact they were in C2 and C3 cause I leveled on them.
Yup, I used MoH on them several times so they had to be, at one point.
So, since DU / MoH is getting indirectly nerfed by decreasing the number of monsters healers can affect added to the short range and low power, why not just take it out instead of making it useless. At least you won't give any newbie healers delusions of buying a good leveling spell when in fact it's just a waste of SP?
Yes of course healers are not supposed to be nukers, I don't really want to be one, either. But being a lvl 60+ Bishop and having to use three rather sp and mp expensive MoHs to kill a deep blue Shackle...
I find the proper way to use MoH is to weaken the mob, not kill it. I nuke it once as a lure and initial hp drain... Then finish it off with duals, holy weapon, and alcatricity(haste) potion. This strategy works non-stop at 61 and I pull 8k xp a kill.
Yup, in that case we need to find you a nukable mob.
I've been almost everywhere on the map (including tracing the outline of the walls :p). With C4 there are a few places I have yet to explore... I try to kill everything i encounter. If it fails, sleep and recall. I'll check a few more spots, but off the top of my head forbidden pathway (between goddard and runetown) would prolly be the best for pure MoH. They're single HP mobs and one nuke bout does it. Xp is low, but kill speed is fast.
You'll still have to rest though. You can go into walk mode because they're so close together, but you may get more bang for your buck.
Also mind the regen. Big time aggro and you'll get overwhelmed quickly.
