lvl gap/ exp penalty

What is it? At what point would you and your partner earn an equal amount of exp? Assuming the mobs are white to both characters, at what point would the lower level character stop receiving the penalty.

( wow... my head really hurts )
Wont earn exact same exp until exact same level =]
I suppose I should now ask at what point would the SE's recharge start working on a higher level character =/
I believe it's when SE is no more than 9 levels lower than recharged character.
if your SE is 9-10 levels below the character you wish to recharge, some mana will go through (do not expect much, only 18 mp went through to a sps i used to duo with after i slacked a little too much) if your SE is higher, the same or more MP you use will go through the recharge, depending on your target's race and skills ( higher mana gain affects player recharge as well as summon, and is available in small levels before 40 for LE and human mages, but not DE)
The effectiveness of recharge is based on the difference between the lvl of the target, and the lvl that your current recharge became available. Targets that are lower lvl, or in the same skill set, will get the full effect of a recharge. Higher lvl targets will get progressively less mp, and 0 mp will be restored if the target is more than about 9-10lvls higher than the skill set.
0 MP get wasted if yoru within 5 skill lv's.

That will say eg an Lv 56 SE get recharg at 56, and if your 61 yo uget full MP back but not if you hit 62, same still apply if SE is 57, becsoe it's skill is still at 56.

Thats about it, ti works somewhat doable 6 levels abow but after that the penelty of to little mp is just to great.

0 mp will be restored if the target is more than about 9-10lvls higher than the skill set.

thats actually a myth made by lower lvl se's
if an se is 55 and a mage is 70 it will still recharge for something
an 11 lvl difference will still recharge a dwarf for about 11 mp if the se is high enough

You are wrong about the level difference thing, unless you wanted to nitpick and say that the mage will receive at least 1mp from the recharge (although I am not even sure about that, could be 0 mp in your example).

I see this all the time in raids etc. - if a mage is 75 and a SE is around 60-65, the SE cannot recharge for any meaningful amount of mp (like 10-20 mp, if even that, while investing >100 mp for the recharge - so you would need three or four recharges at >100mp each to allow the nuker to get one nuke off...). About 5 lvls difference is ok, 10 levels is too much difference. Yes, mages get a bonus to the mp they receive because of higher mana gain. But that does not change that at >10 lvl difference, it simply is not worth it to recharge.

What use is there in recharging somebody for 10mp when the skill costs >100 mp? To be effective, you want to recharge at least 1:1, preferably more than 1:1 in the case of nukers. And for that, 5-8 levels lower than the recipient is about the limit for nukers, and for non-nukers you really should not go below 5 levels difference because you can only do 1:1 mana transfer to start with.
