Hatchlings can carry far more than you'll need. What type of hatchling do you have? If you have a twilight there's no need to bring more than 50-100 food... Stars and Winds will want MUCH more.
I do about an hour at a time with my star and take 170 -> 200. He never eats it all though. My theory is he's going to use it anyways, so the food i buy in bulk... It's the shots that run out first.
honestly the shot freakin terrify me, im guessing im gonna have to buy comparable amounts of shot as my char, which would be crazy expensize
I just passed the 3 million adena mark yesterday. As it levels higher, it consumes more shots. I burn through 2k bsps in a little over an hour. You NEED to be motivated to level one.
My logic is that I enjoy running everywhere and sightseeing... At the release of C4 I ran from aden to rune town and then to the hotsprings. Watch out because the paths are NOT CLEAR. Mobs are strewen all over the place. You'll need a few detours.
I find (with a Wind) that getting a low/mid 40's hatch a half a level takes me about 4k pet shots and 250 hatch food. That is with an unusually efficient (and secret, sry) hatch levelling system, too.
FYI, 35-39 the hatch takes one pet shot per hit. At 40 that goes to 2 pet shots per hit. I'm almost 45 and expect that to go to 3 pet shots per hit then, so it gets increasingly expensive.
My estimate (rather rough one) is that shots and food will run me about 10-12mil to go from 35 to 55 with the Wind.
A secret technique? LOL, trying to make money leveling striders? There're better ways to make money. :) Also, there're many effective methods for leveling dragons and I'd be surprised to hear of a radically new method. The real key is having approriate classes doing the leveling.
Oh yeah, I can verify this in about an hour but I'm pretty sure the shot useage stays at 2. My lvl 55 wolf only uses 2 shots and I'm pretty sure my friend's lvl 54 Twilight is also using 2. I guess twilights could have different shot use than Winds but it's doubtful.

When I finally gave the word for Mallikye the ref to drop him on the basis of using outside assistence, he told me my tactics were cheating :)
He just couldn't stand being pwned by a support class :o. Yes I do have you by a few levels, so if you refuse on that basis I won't hold it against you.

I dont want to kill you. It's just that I get called "useless" a lot in game and it's kind of a sensitive area :confused:. I'm quick to try and prove I'm not because I don't like to feel that I've spent so much time leveling a hero that can't fight.
I went red the other day because a c grade tank thought they could ks me and I was too weak to do anything about it... This is after the time I pk'd a prophet for telling me my buffs suck... So I have no vendetta or grudge because my rp threads tank nowadays... only sadness :(
I'd rather adventure with you than fight... and that goes for anyone.
