How do you acquire new sets of gear? Just dinged level 20 and looking to get a Brigandine set. How do I acquire new sets as I go along?
1. Slay Mobs
2. Pick Up Drops
3. Get Stuff (NPC/PC Shop or Craft or Full-Drop)
I'm really hoping that you meant to ask :
"Where can I buy D-Grade and higher levels of equipment?"

Because my first impression of your question led me to believe that you have never even used a shop to buy or sell anything since the creation of your character.

In any case, D grade gear can be purchased in Giran in it's entirety. For Brig, you go there.
Thanks sorry. Yea I ported to Gludio from DE town to get my max NG suit. I wasn't sure that after NG it was possible to buy grade anything suits (past the lowbie D) from towns. Do any towns sell C and B gear?

I have to corect you on that, the Tunic and Gaiters of the Brig can be bought at the trader in Giran, but the helmet, gauntlets, shield and boots have to be bough from other players, they are craft only.

But for the boots and gauntlet, just take the Rip gauntlets and power boots at Giran, they have the same pdef as the brig ones.
There is one luxery shop in Giran that sells limited types of 'C' armor. You can't buy B grade from a shop. Almost all armor sets that have bonus' will have one piece that is craft or drop only. Brig. can be bought in Giran but not the helmet, that is a drop or craft item and is very expensive.

By the way at your level, you should just get a Mithril set (available at Giran) it cost a lot less. Armor like Brig and Half-plate should only be bought in your 30's, if you have a lot of money to spend.

true, i knew a BD who levelled to 40 in mithril armor, but constantly needed me by her side for heals. i sold her my brig and she made a second BD just to see how fast it is with it on.

worked out to exactly 1/4 the time with brig on to get to 40 under the SAME conditions.

That's absurd unless the healer is totally brain-dead. :p
it may be absurd but its true.

i was the healer.
I dont see how you kill 4 times faster with a brig :S
with a healer and him using mithril he should still have 0 downtime, unless you figth way to hard mobs all the time.
there should be no difference in killing speed.
the HP bonus and shield and pdef+5.24% was what kept her off the ground 75% of the time.

everytheing was the same tho. mdef, no tatts, same weapon obtained at the same time, same skills, same ss on same mobs.

just 1/4 the time.

again, if you would die all the time with a mithril set, you are doing something wrong. fighting to hard mobs for exampel.. its still a heawy armor and its not worthless, as you make it sound. if you have a healer there should be no problem keeping a tank in mithril alive.
I duo a lot with my SO, and I easy keep all kinds of tanks/dd alive, no mather what armor they use (light, heawy), and im always at full hp.

so I think you are doing something wrong my friend.
either, pick green/white mobs, or start healing :)
I made a SK with mithril set. It's a much more slimming look than brig. :D

I think there's exaggeration here, perhaps leaving out the bit about first time thru was with a saber and 2nd time w/ a claymore, and an inept healer. No knight class duo with a healer should ever have downtime from 25 to 40, even if they wear scale mail. That's just crummy mp-management. Wasting all the mp on wind shackle or somethin?
There is also a learning curve. The second time I play any class I do it much faster. I know what to do now.
dont forget mops had xp penilities taken away (no xp loss until they are light blue) and many mops levels or xp increased over the chronicles too.
