ok, I have decided to do some calculation about haste and focus SAs, for that I need to know what exactly those numbers stands for.
Focus: I have heard, just heard, if you have 100 crittical its a 10% chanse you crit.. I doubth its true, but can anyone confirm if it is or not. if it isent, anyone know how it works? or is it just a plain number.
Haste: I sat down and tryed different calculation to undertsand the numbers, but I couldent get any answers.. I dont think its nessesary for the calculations, but it would be nice to inclued it. (I could calculate it like 500 attackspeed is 25% more dmg than 400 attackspeed, but thats very professional :/)
I don't know how to acurately interpret the focus or attack speed numbers but I KNOW that a 100 critical rate does NOT give you a 100% chance of criticals. Your critical number can be over 100. My wolf with focus and Song of Hunter has a 200 critical rate.

What the OP was saying is that 100 would equal 10% so your wolf would have 20%.
afaik, critical is actually the numerator of a ratio. in and of itself your critical means nothing. it is critical divided by 200 that might determine how frequently you land a crit. critical power SA only up's the dmage done during a critical. not its frequency.
haste makes you attack faster, not do more damage. haste is one of those SA's that arent widely used because it causes you to use your SS faster(if you use SS at all). its numbers i havent investigated but i estimate that by ratios that you have posted 500 attack speed vs 400 attack speed should make you attack 25% faster, not do 25% more damage.
10% criticals with a 100 critical value...? That sounds about right...
As to the idea that crtical rate is a percentage based on your critical number/200, that doesn't seem quite right but as I can't see exactly how often my wolf crits, I have no way to tell. I'm pretty sure thought that critical rate does have a cap at 200.

I was talking about Focus SA, not critical damage. and focuz SA does improve the amount of criticals you do.
yes, ofc, haste does not mean more damage, but over time it is. in lets say 20 seconds, and if you have 25% more attackspeed, you will do 25% more damage. Im not intressed in calculating the most damage / swing, I want to calculate the most damage over a long period, for example grinding.
Critical rate doesn't have a cap at 200, as an SwS with a focus dama + focus buff + song of hunter I have a crit rate of 264, with a katana w/ focus it goes up to just under 300.
I also think that critical chance is not a flat crit rate/X and mob level vs. player levels come into it somehow (maybe mob type too, though this is very hard to check as crits are so random).
Its critical rate /1000 but from behind a mob its divided by less then 1000 (i.e you critical more from behind).
With focus the amount it adds to your critical rate decreases with weapon grade. I had a stormbringer with focus, it added 86 to critical rate (8.6%) a SLS adds 73 (7.3%), for focus duals it only adds like 43 (4.3%) or something.
Im not sure if haste gives a constant speed increase, as i haven't seen any haste weapons for sale in giran lately.

I don't know what grade of dual you got the number from but you'll notice that its half of the stormbringer bonus. I'd be willing to wager that the increase is lower for duals because the attack speed between a 1h sword and duals is approximately the same but the duals have 2x the number of opportunities to critical in the same period of time.

Dagger focus bonuses are still higher then duals, 2 handed swords have the same focus bonus as their 1 handed equivelant so beserker blade bonus is the same as SLS (73).
I guess they did that to balance out the DPS, duals being the fastest per strike weapon but still, doesn't explain why 2 handed swords have the same crit bonus as 1 handed.
formula for critical chance is crtiRate/1000 when you stand in front and the hitting aware mob.
you have bonus hitting the back and 1st hit on unaware mob.
As for crit rate; buffed (focus+SoH) TH w/ SA focus can reach around 450crit rate easily.
Any idea about how much the critical rate increases for level of critical chance? TH and PW get level 3 crit chance, at level 1 i know that your critical with a dagger goes from 130 something to 160 something.
One thing about Atk.Speed i have noticed few times.
When we were exping Hatchlings and attacked mob. (We had same hatch/same buffs on em)
They sometimes hit mob same time, but sometimes they keep little pause and attacks goes "out of sync"
And after that they don't hit mob at the same time.
Anyone has any idea what that Atk.Speed numbers really mean? (Atk.Speed(400) / 10 = 40 = 40 Hits/Minute?[This was just an example])
I think prima said that Atk.Speed is comparable, so 400 is twice faster than 200. (And Bows real Atk.Speed is Atk.Speed/2)
As an archer if im shooting on level ground head on it seems like it /1000
If im shooting on level ground behind its seems like /750
If im shooting from below you up to you my Acc goes down and my critcial non existent so maybe /2000
If im shooting from below you up to you but from behind ill crit once and awhile but my acc is still crappy so /1500
If im shooting from above you down on you from the front seems to be the same as if i was shooting you from behind but my Acc is up /750
Now this rarely happens if im shooting down on you from behind i crit almost every other hit and almost never miss /500
Ive noticed fighting as an archer for about 2 years lol carriers over into PvP and PvE.
Ratio might be off but it gives you an idea on the rate of crit from different directions there is definatly a physics engine in the game for bows at the very least.
I'd be willing to wager that the increase is lower for duals because the attack speed between a 1h sword and duals is approximately the same but the duals have 2x the number of opportunities to critical in the same period of time.
Though you get that 'two times the hits' at the cost of 'two times the chance of doing about half the damage'. So even if you crit with one of the swings of the duals but miss with the other, you'd still be wasting shots for about the same damage as an uncharged non-crit with a sword of same p.atk...
Though duals usually have high p.atk to start with, so that's just for number game purposes. :)
Well, it's definatley not 1000. A dagger user with focus dagger, focus, song of hunter can get about 500 crit rate, and crit essentially every time at that rate.
The only known thing you gain for being higher than an oponent is accuracy. I've noticed that when fighting lower level people, also tend to crit more. This leads people to believe that accuracy plays a role in crits, as well. If that's the case, then it's not just some divisor.
Im fairly sure levels are a factor, when fighting green or lt blue mobs I seem to crit more often than white. Also the diference between using a focus weapon like kris and a non focus weapon like demon sword seems to have a large impact, this wouldnt be the case if 71 extra crit rate translated to a mere 7% increase.

Only reason you notice you crit more on low people is because when you crit they die.
Also people tend to lie about how much they crit to make them sound more useful. Personally I crit about 1/3 times on my dagger user fully buffed at 330ish crit rate. PW and TH can get close to the 50% mark which can easily string into a large chain of crits and have people brag about,"I crit almost every hit."
