Archer playing style

Soo i've started a human archer. and i was just wondering whats the best way to lvl him? money is not a problem. my problem is wether or not to use bow to pull mobs in and finish with dagger or use dagger solely? currently i am lvl 11 lol. just lookin for sum tips. Thanks :)

overenchanted bow + SS + out of party SE for buffs & mana
although my friend still prefers to have out of party Prophet instead, although i just used greater attack speed pots.

stick with the armor sets that give damage bonus, like plated leather and doom light.
+dex & +str tattoos.
stick with white mobs that you can 2 shot.

hm. i should say that the method to leveling an archer is not unlike the leveling of a mystic. however, if you do decide to level the way you yourself suggest, you will have 2 problems; 1 lack of SP for skills after 20. use sp scroll to counter this. 2, difficulty to do for top NG and D weapons, as they will occupy 2x the cost of normal 1 weapon soloing.

my question is wih way i should lvl with only dagger or use bow dagger combo? i just need advice till i hit 20 then i figure bow is best way to go in fields and dagger if best when in dugeons.

Use bow and when you have no MP use the dagger, when you enough mp switch back to bow again, simple.

That's exactly what I did, and dont forget to bring lots of Heal Pots, otherwise you will sit on your butt alot. I did this after lvl 20 as well. 40+ i'm sticking to just a bow. I can still get about 20% per hour at lvl 43 this way.

The best way to level an archer fast is solely with a dagger until lvl 52. You get dagger skills until lvl 40, get a Plated Leather set and those skills will be viable until 52. Why not bow? Cost of arrows and SS usage is through the roof. Dagger strikes extremely fast and your kills will be quick enough.

yea i mainly am just using the bow to nail higher lvl mobs with power shot. and then anything close i whip out the dagger and **** away.

Go bow only. Why dagger?

My archer blazed through 52 levels using just bow(with the exception of about 3 levels in between where I was stuck with only a dagger).

My Sr will soon be at A grade lvl, and if I count all the times I've used the bow specials on mobs, I won't even run out of fingers and toes.

Go for mobs you can 2-3 hit. There are many.


Although my attacks come a bit faster than yours, you do far more damage, especially when buffed.

Stick to the bow. Live by the bow. Forget the crappy dagger, unless mobs corner you and using a bow isn't practical at point black range.

Some people chose archer because they wanna play an archer and not a dagger-class. An archer can level easily without ss and the costs for arrows isnt more than maybe 1-2% of money drops. After all, he said money doesnt matter (cough...ebayer...cough :p)

I highly suggest playing like a dagger user until 40, especially if you have VR. if you have decent bufs, you can probably solo most catacomb rooms with top gear. That's fast xp.

lol yea thanks for the defense...from my experience on L2 only ebayers spot other ebayers ;) lol. jk! anyways yea i really liek what the guy said above about how sum like to go archer cuz they wanna BE an archer. thats why i chose to do the human lvl 1-20 again for the 3rd time!!! god it makes me crazy! lol.

"I saw another thread on armour for archers and iw as going to write this in there but iwanna keep MY thread goin lol. I here quite a few peopel saying elven mithril is good set to go? huge mp boost but then i have pretty much no armour. Soooo can anyone give me sum suggestions??! :D

As that other post alrdy says, only wear it if you know how to play well, in robes 4 which u have no masteries, you must make sure to kite and nver get hit by the target.
