Meeting Baium in C4

In order to get a subclass you have to finish the quest "An arrogant search" in which you have to get a bloody fabric from poking Baium at the 14th floor in Tower of Insolence.
In C2 / C3 this was something that one person/small party could do.
But I know there have been done some changes to the way Baium spawns etc. in C4.
I was wondering if someone has been up there in c4 to meet Baium and could shed some light on how it can be done now.

It's possible to do, but it isn't smart.

The diffrence is that you either take damage immediately from Baium, or you are aggroed by the angels.

In any case, you need a party to help you.

In C4 whoever wakes up Baium is immediately killed. There's no BSOEing.

What about the other party members that hit baium after the first to do it?

So Baium kills the first person that wakes him up?
Does anyone know the time that it takes for Baium to respawn?

If you anger Baium and want to go in again, it takes like 30min or so for him to calm down and get petrified again.

Yes it is true. The person who wakes up Baium gets killed, no questions asked. Have heard from two players now who tried it and got hit by Baium for ca. 700-800k damage.

So what you have to do is go in with a buddy who does not mind getting killed. Have him strip naked (so that he does not drop stuff on death), wake up Baium, let him kill the volunteer and poke Baium/bsoe. Then wait half an hour and on logoff/login the dead player will be back in Aden and you can res him.

BTW we did this two days ago. Baium hit our streaker for 7.8m damage :)

Once Baium has been defeated on a server...how long does it take for him to respawn on that server? 200hours like antharas?

or you can get your friendly neighbohood summoner (a DA or even a WS should work here) and have their summon poke him.
of course, the summoner should then bsoe immediately thanks to the transfer of agor.

That won't work, he doesn't wake up from "poking" him, he wakes up from talking to him in the frozen state and choosing the option to wake him up.

ah. and once woken he pwns whoever woke him up? that hardly seems fair.

Yes, just go there with several people who need the quest done, and split the cost of a bres for the volunteer who woke him.

Won't work. A dagger in DC light is hit for ca. 800k damage, so a tank with UD on will still be hit for like 100-200k.

We even played with the idea of having somebody strip naked and then giving him blazing skin, so that he will deal 30% damage or whatever it is back to Baium after being hit for the 7-8m damage Baium does to a streaker. Since Baium only has like 800k hp, this might have given some nice drops in addition to finishing the 75 quest :)

Sadly it does not work. Blazing Skin only seems to deal damage when you are still alive - but since you die from the first hit Baium gives you, Blazing skin does not deal damage back :(

Best way to get it done is to take someone with you, that has a low level sub and are willing to take the "return to village" penalty.

Its not possible to survie baium when you wake him up, and b rezing could be canceled if you got hit.

He hit me for 1,1m damage when I woke him up.

Thanks for the SS, just one question : how could you enter to Baium when the quest to do so starts @ lvl 60 ?

its a subclass.

I didn't think quests carried over between subclass and mainclass?

It does, I can even get quest items for 74+ quest on my prophet.

see thats the thing... We killed baium on our server like 4 days ago, and baium doesn't respawn for like 7-8 days so people trying to subclass r flaming us for killing him and no allowing people to sub.
