So Im making an elven knight now what should i be later?Are swordsinger good?they don't have armour mastery.Also any skill i shouldn't get as elven knight?
It really depends on what you want to do. SwordSingers are very good, but they aren't 'tanks'. Their primary role is their buffs which have to be recast every two minutes.
What you need to ask yourself is what do you want to play? If you want a 'tank' then you should go Temple Knight but just know that they are very slow to level and there are very few of them.
Swordsingers are always wanted in parties because of their great buffs, but they don't start getting the ones people really want until they level 49. It's not that the other songs below that are not useful, just that Song of Hunter is one song people always ask for.
I'm leveling a swordsinger also atm... Their defensive skills are totally needed in PvP these days. And you will be welcome in every xp party as well, so your leveling will be fast.
armor masteries will be no problem, you get a "song" that increases your mdef and pdef far beyond wherever those masteries would have got you.
You will not be a dedicated tank or DD although you can do both. Your main role as a SWS is a buffer and people will treat you as one... like with not much respect. Temple knights still have it worse tho. ;) Dunno really why, since they are really good tanks.
If you're a swordsinger, archers and daggers will flock to you, and become your new best friends (once you have Song of Hunter, anyway). Crit rate is everything for melee classes.
The SWS is a popular class. You will not be much good on your own tho, as in soloing, or pvp. BUT, people will make room for you in their parties more easily. (Dont get me wrong tho. your presence alone in a pvp can easily turn the tide, it just won't be you that scores the kills).
The TK is the tank that can take the highest amount of punishment in the entire game. BUT, they kill very slowly at higher levels, and their effectiveness to a party is limited. I'd only recommend this class to players that absolutely need to make a knight, for RP purposes.
I'll sign the don't-get-charm petition. I've tested it in all kinds of different situations (trying to see if the description was wrong), and it doesn't do jack. If you can spare the SP, go ahead and get it. But IMO it should be your last priority. But who knows, it might work 1/100.
GO SWS! Unless you area glutton for punishment and self pity don't go any tank class cept DA they can own. If you want to pvp reroll a nuker or arcehr though otherwise as melee you are jsut fodder and SWS are just fodder that can buff.
Go Sword Singer, the more SwS's in Aden the more melees have a chance against nukers ... Song of the Hunter and magic defence songs are essential for any melee party ^^
With naturally high dex, song of the hunter and a focus sword you'll be counting the number of times you DON'T critical.
