New Fish dwarves ?

Greetings,

I saw a rather odd thing today.

I was fishing (next to an automated fishing machine no doubt) and the dwarf was actually underwater today (she's a long time fishing partner).

So I say to myself, sweet, she's gonna drown eventually, and I might get some of that sweet armor she's wearing...

But ****, she stayed underwater for over an hour ! Never moved, didn't seem to suffer since she didn'T use any potions...

So WTH ? Can you, say at higher level, stay underwater forever ? Do you regen faster than you lose HP underwater ?

Is there a +3 snorkel I am not aware of ?

Perhaps your eyes deceived you. It may be that the dwarf was on the ledge, but due to swampgas and reflections off a dwarven weather balloon, it looked like the dwarf was under water. You can't really ever trust that swampgas...

Or may be the dwarf was underwater, but since it isnt underwater for rest of the classes the breathing bar didn't apeared. Just a sugestion here..

Did you try jumping in to see if the water was bugged at that location.

There are still a few areas where you do not get a breath guage.

A lot of times what shows on my screen and my dual box is not the same . I've seen one char safely in town and on the other screen they are outside of town running into the wall.

Well, that may be, for idle chars, and until the client syncs with the server.

However, this dwarf was clearly underwater (saw bubbles, I went right next to it and I was underwater), and she was fishing, so not idle.

So if dwarves are now fishies, what lure do we need to catch them, and can we get full drops when we gut them ?

what lure do we need to catch them

A-grade or S-grade jewelry in my case ;)

And at high level dwarves just regenerate faster, than we drown, that could be a reason too :)

There are times when my wife's screen will show us closer together or farther apart than my screen shows us as well as other oddities. Perhaps on the Dwarf's client, he wasn't in water over his head.

its possible to jump into the water at certain spots/angles and not bring up the breath gauge as long as you don't go up/down/left/right and just straight or/stop.

this bug has been around since they first introduced breath guages.

If you crash underwater and log back, breathing bar disappeares too.

While you're fishing you can't drown. So if youre really fast at fishing, you can fish underwater.

If you're a really cool bot, dump off the boat in the middle of the ocean, then fish until done, then SOE. Pretty much garanteed that NOONE will ever find you.

I saw a dwarph fishing and catching fish with an AOBA and shield. Looked really funny I asked how he did it but no answer. Then I asked someone else if they saw the same thing but they saw a fishing pole. Don't always believe what u see on your screen.

Yes I had a clan mate running around on a strider and then he summoned a cougar. I asked how he did it and he was confused. Turns out he was not on a strider, he just showed up that way on my screen. I even got the sound of a strider stomping around. Odd.

Graphics bug probably.

I get that alot between my two accounts.

My buffer would look like it's standing right beside me.... only to look at my other screen and see it stuck behind a wall a mile away.
