Ok I am a bit confused, you are complaining because lower lvl armor has less Pdef. It is suppose to have less why would you upgrade to higher lvl armor if it didnt give you mre Pdef.
There is no penalty to use lower lvl armor. Im 60+ and use Demon (C grade) robes most of the time while I grind. Way less Pdef then my NM set but Matk is higher because of the bonus.
look at the dif innumbers between the armors and look at the numbers between the pdef while wearing the armors. There is only 54 pdef dif between the armors, but with them on there is 83 points of dif. Which means that if the armors were of equal pdef value there would still be a 29 pdef dif between the Ag and the Cg.
Ok Do you get a penalty for using armor below your grade?
Today I checked comp armor vs Tallum pa
Tallum Pa 278
Comp A 224
Dif 54
ON my toon Pdef 842 with Tallum
with Comp 759
Dif of 83
Can someone tell me why this is?
Do armor mastiers stop working on lower grade armor?
Okay I was very confused too, but I think I have figured out your question. Say the Tallum and Comp armors are sitting in your Warehouse. The Difference in P.Def is 54. You pull them out and try them both on. When you equip each one the difference in P.Def changes to 83. This would lead one to believe that they are either getting an extra boost for wearing their current grade or a penalty for wearing a grade below their current grade.
My guess (and it's only a guess) is that your expertise in that particular armor is a multiplier on the base P.Def of the armor itself and maybe some other factors involved. Just like the Might lvl 3 buff is okay when you have a base of 6 P.Atk, but does way more when you have a base of 800 P.Atk.
If someone actually knows what the answer is post it, but that would be my guess.
Uhm, arent armor masteries a % boost to the pdef of your armor. If it's a % boost, ofcourse an armor with bigger pdef value will have more pdef when equipped >.>
