When a non-chaotic player dies and drops an item, it has been changed so that the players party members or clan members have priority to pick up the item for 15 seconds. The time for item looting is 2 to 15 seconds after the drop. This is not applied to items dropped by chaotic characters.
You just took away a very profitable and good way to hit the "AI Played PC's" where it counted, by us players!

Not happy at all!!!
Balis
wow this is old news and has already been argued and discussed... the conclusion that was drawn from the discussion:
Sorry Balis, but I for one am happy. I don't play the game obsessed about bots or to grief/train others out of their hard earned gear. It's nice to know that we legit players are less of a target for Griefing For Profit tactics.

Or you can look at it that if YOU die from a mob and farmers are sniffing around you, your party can save your equipment so that they don't get it.
Or ... if your enemy ... the person you hate beyond everything ... trains you and you drop, your party can get your items and then your enemy is not only out of his "loot" but then has given you another reason to pk him to lvl 4.

Yeah, thats the only upside to this, but I liked it the old way!
and yes this is a lame idea theay say deal with it in game so we deal with it by training training stops them from getting adena and cuts in to there reserves its a perfect way to deal with them now its only going to be time lost
the only tool left is seeding there mobs and thats boring as hell
your all saying o what about your enemie training you ? ... get a bsoe you see some one your in a war with and a huge train on them running to you just bsoe farmers wont bsoe thats why this rule protects them
and nc if you keep removeing ways for us to " deal with it in game " then you need to pick up more of the slack do your job and we wont have to train the bots out of the places we want to hunt
Yes because your way of "dealing with it" has a proven track record of success.
How about a little intellectual honesty here? You just want to be able to train people and snag their gear without the risk of going red to do it. Oh sure, you may prefer 3rd party program users, or farmers, or people with chinese looking names, or people who don't say "hi" to you, or people who are unclanned, or...
Whatever dude. Your methods have done nothing to remove the "problem" that y'all are still whining so hard about. It's so far done Jack.
On the other hand, it is a griefing technique that has ruined the game for many a legit player.
You wanna be honest, admit that your "methods" have been completely useless against the "problem players," and that the only problem you have is not being able to easily grief other players out of their gear, then we can have an honest philosophical discussion about it.
If you instead try to use as your position the fantastical and bogus notion that your mob trains are putting even the slightest dent into that "industry" then you just make yourself look like the fool you're trying to play us all for.
what the hell have you done to even TRY to stop them ? if your not even trying you have no right to even speak
it doesnt take much to figure out farmers time = adena , time there dead = NO adena , gear they drop = -Adena
guess what this still be a greefing tool for players vs other players when players get trained they die and run around farmers huddle in close and there bots auto pick up
i have personally pulled millions in gear off farmers bodies they didnt pull the drops out if nothingness or the adena to buy them again they had to spend time recovering from the loss or at least expend resources and that is a but to there bottom line not much but the impact is there if more people would stop being so **** lazy and grief them pk there healers or do any thing it will hurt more and more and we would see a improvement . but no its easier for you to sit there and complain about the people trying to stop them. get off your *** and try dont just whine

Your logic is flawed.
Allow me to explain what would really occur in this situation if viewed as a business.
Lost time and lost productivity means that each individual is less productive but still profitable. The demand for the product is still there and it is still profitable to provide the product despite the tiny increase in production costs. Therefore to make up for the decrease in productivity more workers are hired to pickup the slack.
Therefore... you have only been making the problem worse and have no right to speak by your own logic. Congratulations.
Ok, you are the anti-"bad player" crusader. So far your efforts (in conjunction with the efforts of all the other players who like you have decided that L2 is not about killing mobs, gathering adena, leveling your character, besting other players and conquest... but instead is the eternal struggle of live player versus program) have done S-Q-U-A-T.
Oh sure you can wrap yourself in the EULA flag and make it look as though you are doing something... anything to help me, the player that wants to play "L2" instead of "StompDaBot." The reality is that me and several of my friends, over the course of our time, have fallen victim to self-proclaimed "bot-hunters" who in reality are lowbie griefers who use bot-hunting as an excuse to weasel out of retribution.
How many innocent victims have been in the "wrong place and the wrong time" to zealots like yourself whose combined efforts have had absolutely zero impact on "bad player" growth in the game?
And that's assuming that you are Pearl Pureheart herself.
And since when is it my obligation to engage in your quixotic pursuits? I pay my 15 bucks a month to play the game, not do NCSoft's job for them. Not to mention the effectiveness that is quite evident of the efforts of people like you.
I do my time, I grind my levels, I farm my mats and do these mind-numbing quests to improve my status. I owe you nor anyone else no foolish and ineffective crusade. You can call me lazy, but while you are gathering mobs to kill players for you so you can grab their gear, me and my clannies are out farming mats trying to get into raid parties, doing pet quests to sell, leveling soul crystals for the market etc etc etc.
But yah.... I'm lazy.
The fact is, you want your "farmer" money train to keep on rolling.
That is your motivation. Heck if NCS did what you claim you want and banned the lot of them, what would you do then? How would you make your in-game fortunes? Live, clanned players don't take too kindly to trains.
If we lose one more abused griefing tool and the effect is that we have the same number of "bad players" that we would have had anyway dspite your herculean efforts, it's a +1 ratio for the good guys.
So all you do is raise adena prices (and only slightly, I don't think the farmers are paid much :P) doesn't do much to help, but sure it might help a little.
I have been trained by people who "thought" my party was a bot party (bots leveling a wolf? ok.... ). This gives me a little more protection against griefers and as such is more of a benefit then the harm caused by a slight drop in adena prices*; it is a welcome change for me.
*Do you really think the people training bots have an influence on adena prices or change anything?
This thread is turning into a discussion of third party program use and other EULA violations, so I will close it now. Please see this thread (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=442966) for more information about this forum policy. Thank you!
