well if you are a healer/ buffer yur main job is healing and since m.atck doesnt matter id go with the weapon that gives u the highest P.atck dmg output. plainly...go duels. lol. and pray u wont have to use them. :) GL
You can only get dual swords at lvl 20+
You can get dual fists from NG hoever, but look ugly and have low crit rate. At D grade most heals pick up a 2 handed sword or dual swods, eg bstard*elven, or if ur short on cash, saber*saber.
Pre-40, as mentioned before, a healer is best set with a high Patk weapon. Duals or a 2-handed are fine. But basically you can get any weapon you want, a sword or dagger w/ shield is fine, or a blunt. You get the idea.
Dual meaning a sword in each hand, a haned sword meaning one massive sword which requies both hands to use, hence no shield, and you get a 1 handed sword whic allows shield usage.
Wow ok seriously don't listen to these peeps If you are sub 40 and can **** the bsps use your skills and hunt strictly undead mobs with disrupt undead. Spamming bsps and windstrike can still be enough to stop most mobs at those levels. Tryto stick to parties though thye do the killing you do the healing and just reap the rewards! Since you are bufing or healing no point using SPS in groups so you make money from the get go. Duals aren't bad if you look to fight and go battle prophet otherwise if you are a healer with duals what are you doing? My 52 Prophet using disrupt undead which she last gained levels for at 35 can still kill white mobs to her in about 4 casts. For pvp if you are physically fighting another player you are 99.999% chance you gonna die unless they 40+ levels below you. Stick to rooting or sleeping and falling bad to your DD guys for the damage output. If you really want to use weapons and buff go overlord or WS you get some funky skills great PD and can deal damage. Plus you get stuns!
Ever seen a battle prophet you newb?
Disrupt undead kills mp in moments as a cleric, im leveling my second cleric and fighting melee style is far better then jacking about trying to be a inefficent nuker.

Yep.
Only Shillen Oracles can play nuker pre 40.
With +3 SoL and empower, you 1 shot ( windstrike ) Dion mobs for 950 exp until lvl 30, Disrupt EG undead mobs until 35, then fettered souls ( north of giran ) until 40.
Without empower, it has to suck being a nuking healer. It's hard enough doing it with an SO...I couldn't imagine any other class doing it. Using duals to nuke then finish off with melee is the best bet.
I figured, that unless it shot my mana, I'd cast 1 Disrupt Undead and then head into melee, if I were soloing. If I were grouping, I'd get ss with a small mix of sps, and if I were soloing more, I'd get bsps and a little ss.
simple fact Duals have jUst as good M.atk as mele wepons
the advantage is Prophet has so many skills that give the advantage to self buff.
I had the Staff, and other melle weps. did nothing when the dry root didn't hold or sleep didnt hold. Try swinging staff with low P.atck your toast. I used duals, still have duals. they hit fast hard get +4 you in there . I dont have slowed casting speed. It actualy is 705 buffed. Have few tatts. but yes go with duals . Dont forget you can upgrade certain duals at the mammon.
certain healer classes pre-40 lvl do best with duals well into their50's. its true, clerics, SO's and at times EO's can do real well with duals. but it can be very costly.
matk really only affects heals minimally so comparing your +3 staff of life to healing without a weapon you get merely 40 points of heal more with the staff, its not very pretty. duals havet he highest physical damage on the market atm, so bring along some bsps for healing and some ss for fighting. youll do fine as any class. for this, dual 107's (commonly known as elven*bastard) do this pretty ok.
