On sieghardt we have managed to get lucky with not having farmers (chinese players that farm mobs, sell drops, and sell adena for real life money on internet) dominate our hunting grounds.. They leave when asked.. But now we have a new enormous problem plauging our server.. The farmers have made 2 seprate clans.. These farmers sit in town and wait for a raid boss to spawn.. They have alts at the raid boss to tell them when it spawns.. The second it spawns they port there and buff and do the raid boss... There is no way any clan on our server can compete with this... We can hardly get one raid boss when we try... On ocasion we get to do lillith, but now even that has become dificult.. The farmers are the only ones withlvl 12 SA crystals and they sell them for such a high price that it encourages buying adena.. The same goes for full drops or equipment... All NCSOFT needs to do is look at the IP's of these clans, see theyre in China and see's theyre preventing other players from killing the mobs, which is against the rules, and ban them.. Not one player, but their whole Raid boss farmer group, all of them... Please NCSOFT do something for us paying customers many people are quitting because nothing is being done and we cant compete with people who cheat...
Hm 2 clans? We've got the same problem on Gustin with 2 boss farmer clans, each of 19 people. They stand around aden with their identical nuker setups and then zerg the GK and port to a boss.
Not really fair to normal everyday players who just want to raid IMO, but you cant ban someone for playing the game.
Some kind of system where if you participated in a raid on a boss you could not participate in a raid on the very next instance of that boss? I wouldnt mind. Might even be a good idea!
Yeah most clans have given up on even trying to do normal raids because the bosses are being completely monopolized by farmers. Its absolutely impossible to conduct any normal raid right now. One group tried to kill the farmers and since they all use bot programs they got completely wiped out by the farmers.
It's really disappointing that one of the major aspects (to any MMO game really), raiding, is pretty much unavailable now.
Sounds bad on Kain and the likes then. We've had much better success in raiding, done about 20 bosses in the last few days so I dont find the situation so bad. Could do more bosses if we had ppl awake all the time but cant have raidgroups awake 24/7.
65-75 lvl bosses, not talking about lower lvl bosses that aint even worth the porting fees ;)
you can pk a clan of farmers server wide.
get an archer party w/ EE (for PR2 just in case) and stun the tank and pk the healers. PR2. most likely the farmers also have EE and go back to town.
It was said: also buff the raid w/ ww/magic barrier/dw/haste2/focus if you can (Bishop can restore enoutmous hp). A semi determined ally should be able to kick them out.
Btw, most likely they use SHs w/ CDL so PKing nukers is child play.
Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to resort to doing this? Hard enough to battle the real players, now you have to battle the professional adena selling ones as well.
Maybe everyone should of learned by now, as long as Ncsoft's current policy of ignorance and shoving any post they don't like into the "offical" threads they never look at, things are never going to change.

funny when you get the game you assume its to play
not to petition/note stupid names/strategically kill farmers/compete against farmers for ss/raids/mobs/market
It's a player vs player game, profeesional ones are just players that have more time/resources to play the game. Fair? no. But as oyu said, you "assume" things that may or may not benecessarily true; NCsoft has stated since the beginning that they will NOT interfere in Player vs Player affairs.
If there is a party/clan/alliance that farms a specific monster 24/7 your only option is get your own clan/party/alliance to go, fight the enemy for the spot and claim it as your own, even if it's not 24/7.
Is it bothersome and cumbersome? yes, but it creates content and strife, wich is the ultimate goal in this game, and the basis of all PvP.
There are farming clans for raid bosses probably on every server now. And talk is its the same farmers across all the servers. They kill the bosses from one server then go to the next. Lionna has tworaid boss farmer clans...2 over 1 and Welcome Beyound. Each in a different power alliance on the server so some deal must have been struck with the ally's. What's sad now is they are having my farmer clan is better than your farmer clan debates on that other message board and even the offical board last week.
They all get petitioned and at one time Welcome Beyound orginal clan Beyound actually got banned...they re-rolled to Welcome Beyound and have resumed operations. Cleaver that bunch too...Beyound gets banned so they reform as Welcome Beyound and NC Soft is none the wiser. Either NC Soft is turning a blind eye now and just don't care or maybe they struck up some deal with them like the alliances they are in have done.

Thats true in most PvP situations, however these raid boss farmers are selling items at inflated prices and then turn around and sell that adena to clearing houses for real money. Last time I checked the EULA that was a major no no. Quite trying to act all upity about its a PvP game and NC Soft doesnt get involded in Player vrs Player conflicts. These raid boss farmers are violating the EULA by selling game items to incure real life money. They have been reported but apparently are much more cleaver than NC Soft and are getting away with violating NC Softs own rules for their own profit.
Well yes, the famous EULA... do you happen to know that "the company" that sell adena also has one? and that just by looking at their site you are accepting that you cannot and will not take any legal action against them? wonderful stuff the law is, when you can bend it to your advantage...
See, they are not selling NCsoft's property, they are seeling just their time investment or some crap like that. There is little NC soft can do, they can ban them after investigating of course, but they cannot somebody for selling "adena" if what is being sold is "time" represented in a monetary sum, in this case, measured in adena. And since I don't want to be sued by "those guys" I'll shuddup now.
Again, Back then in OB when these guys showed up I tried to do something about it, guess what? no one cared because "what's the worst that can happen?" and "If they don't mess with me, I don't mess with them", "it's a big world and you can get another spot to hunt", "It won't be a problem in the long run" and back then, the bots fought back, now they don't have to. WE the players (and I count myself into the lot, since I didn't play chronicle 1 trough 3) who let ourselves into this. I suspect things will get ugly once I get high level, but I'm more worried about the random PK guys since THOSE are a real threat to my playing experience.
I've got 6 months to assess the real situation, since at my level range they are not an issue really.
And again... it's not like you, we can't do anything against them, but if they are backed up by a powerful alliance, then there is a problem since they are being integrated into gameplay. And you CAN'T complain to NCsoft since it is indeed, a player vs player problem.
If the worse comes to worse... let's us all leave, I know I will if it is indeed an unplayable experience; but I think it has to do with our greatest downfall: people who will do anything to get the upper hand, even if it means allying themselves with the unmentionables... and I don't mean your underwear.
Well NC Soft's offical line is that there is nothing wrong with logging in killing raid bosses then logging out or going to another server and doing the same thing. Anyone is free to do that.
However, if a connection can be made that these raid boss farmers are taking the drops, selling them for adena that they then sell to clearing houses for real world currency then they can investigate and take action.
So unless someone on the inside of these raid boss farmers turns them out or someone can get proof that the raid boss farmers are selling items or adena for real world currency there is nothing that can be done about it. It is as you say a Player vrs Player situation where the players are expected to do whatever it takes to interupt these clans business operations and drive them away.
