I was talking to someone the get in is clan, I told him that I didn't know which build I wanted to try with my SK. He tells me that in the clan as a SK I would be a tank, no use for a STR SK. Cool, it's decided, I'll be a tank, I just need some +3Con -3STR now.
Search Giran, only find 2 of thoses, buy them, go to Dion, none. I go to Pilgrims Nec, cool the Merchant of Mammon is there, ok 8 +3 CON -3STR wil cost me 864k AA. I go to Giran, buy just enough green seal stones, exchange it (at least I didn't forget that).
Run back to Pilgrims, Mammon is gone, now what to do? SOE to Dion, GK to Gludio, GK to DE Village, GK to Neutral Zone, enter Patriots, cool he is there. Now I'll do this quick. Ok 8 dyes. Wait are they +3? Better double check. Ok they are +3. Buy. Now check your inventory and look for your 10 dyes....:eek:

Stupid, stupid stupid. I even double checked to see if they were +3, but no, didn't see that they were -3DEX instead of STR.
Now I really want to buy those dyes anyway, but I don't have AA left. So SOE to Gludio and Run to Giran, I buy Green Seal Stones from the same guy, exchange them. I run back to Dion, GK to...

Now I'm stuck with 8 dyes I don't want to use, I'll probably be able to sell them, but probably at a lost, so this all thing cost me a lot of money.

i never go shopping, throw all mats in wh, sell crap to NPC thats not worth the WH space, buy reg c sps from dwarf friend and go out to hunt again. if i ever need extra adena (never need any extra from using reg sps) then i pull all of mats out of wh and go to nearest buy shop and sell.
+Str -Dex is actually a quite good choice if you plan to PvE mostly and PvP from time to time. Alot of groups dont need a tank and are fine with anything that goes in heavy - so dont try to focus on that aspect unless you're tanking raids. And one of the SKs best selling points is that they are DDs in a sense as well, as you can Hex & Deal a nice amount of damage due to your high Str.
I had gotten a NG grade helm drop once, and I was cleaning out my inventory and sellin stuff off to the NPC store... after I sold off all the stuff, the NG helm was still in my inventory.. wait.. WHERE THE HECK IS MY BRIG HELM??? Oh crud!!
Back when I was trying to buy dyes from players, I set up up a shop so that I could have a nice advertisement "WTB xxx DYES PM ME". I wanted that shop to stay up for a long time, so I set the price of my 1 DSS to 100k, knowing very well that nobody would buy it. I checked on my "store" a couple hours later, and to my amusement realized that I set up a BUY shop instead of a SELL shop. Yep, I bought a single DSS for 100k.
When I finally got one of the dyes I needed, I set up a shop to buy the rest. But when I set up the store, instead of clicking on the dye, I accidentaly clicked on a magic haste potion. So I bought 9 magic haste potions for 200k each. Fortunately for me, the seller was kind enough to return the money.
i sold a brig helmet for 500k once. i figured it was a lot of money, i got it free after all. but i recuperated by selling a crystal staff at 6m. no sa.
About the worst I've done to myself was buying EAD scrolls instead of EWD scrolls. Obviously I was very tired since I couldn't understand why I was getting an error message trying to use them on my weapon.
Oh, I just remember setting up a sell shop and selling EWD scrolls instead of EAD scrolls.
Someone got a good deal but these are fairly minor incidents.
Once my Cleric (now Prophet) tried to get me to "take down my weapon" once... Does that count?

I once scammed someone accidentally. I was trying to buy varnish for 400a, but I accidentally put HGS in at 400a instead. I woke up and someone had sold me 200+ HGS. Considering I was hurting for money since I was trying to craft my BoP...I turned around and resold them for a good 100k+ profit. Inadvertantly owned.
Normally i'm good with avoiding scams...but i got scammed once. One time when i was gonna buy some enchant armor scrolls (or maybe weapon...i can't remember, was near the beginning of c3) but anyways, when i thought i was buying blank scrolls, i ended up buying those waking scrolls. At least i only lost 20k.
As for a "self scam" one time when i wanted to try on a de bow (the 700k one) i accidentally bought it. I didn't really care though because i played around with it in the arena (bows rock for playing around...I want a chrono bow!) and eventually crystalized it for my summons.
I have hit a BSOE to just return to town, no, not once, not twice, but 3 times in the past 3 or 4 months.
They should look a little bit MORE different, dammit!
I recently scammed my self recently also, i saw a bgrade fishing pole in a sell shop for 3mil and didnt relize after i bought it, it was 1.5 mil in shop lol.
