XP gained was based on damage done by the party you're in. So the high lvl SHs get the SWEET end of that deal. XP ranged from 300/600K through 14 million. That's right, MILLION. Personally, I got 12.8M. It was the best XP session I've had since OB lol

You know, for some reason I always considered exp on these big raids to be distributed evenly. After hearing you got 12m exp... I now have to change my pants.

even xp distribution would be the most fair but probably extremely hard to do mechanically
I don't know. A system where xp for each group is calculated by damage done to raid boss+damage taken from raid boss would give a much fairer assessment of contribution.

nah not when you have rezzers buffers off to the side doing their stuff doing no dmg
then u have all dmg in one group also doing all the dieing
Raid Bosses "chain-aggro" (are supposed to), then occasionally attack someone at random with area effect skills.
A well balanced group is key when doing a raid.
But that can be very hard to pull off. If done correctly,
Tanks can actually hold aggression much longer and that'll even out experience distribution.
