Yes it has accumen.
No I did not move to it from a homu.
Why?
Because I was just using it for the speed. I never had a problem sleeping level 80 mobs with a homu; so not much need to increase the matak. I'm also an EE, so Nuking is darn well pointless. I took the difference (20mil after +3 and accu) it would have cost me to go from one to the other and made a decent set of duals.
For a spellsinger however, I would most likely choose it in place of trying to ++ a homu to its level. They sell for around 25 mil w/out SA and I estimate that with the 3 standard b weap enchants to run it to 30. A homu costs me around 10 mil to fully load. The lost cost of breaking it is about 6 mil..
So you can either try to spend the time and gross amount to OE 4 homus to match it (6mil loss per homu x4 = 24mil +4 mil for the crystal value of the one that takes = 28mil cost), Or get yerself the valhalla.
yes it exists, and to get it u need SA Red crystal lvl 9.
Works great on mine :)
And if u wundering if moving from Homoculus with acumen to SOV, it all depends if ur Homoculus sword is +4 or better. If it is just have a look on this web site on the M. atck of a clean SOV, if its higher then ur Homoculus sword, change it i would say, else keep ur Homoculus sword.
The benefit to me for a B grade weapon over a C grade weapon is the blessed spiritshot (blsps) consumption rate.
With my SH and the Homu, I hated having to "refuel" on blsps after all of the time that it takes to get to a prime hunting spot. And it always seemed that the C-blsps went rather quickly when you are 2-shotting with Death Spike and using Body to Mind and Corpse Life Drain. Unfortunately not many dorfs have the greater compressed package of C-blsps in their book, so your options are to either take a pet with you or be ready to make constant soe's back to the village WH.
But with a B or A grade weapon, you load up on the same amount of shots and can hunt for even longer periods without refueling.
I was glad to see that Acumen was given to Valhalla. I wish they had put that same SA on the Hell Knife. The mage swords look so lame. But at least now I have an excuse to try to OE a B grade mage weapon to +10 or higher. We're at +8 at the moment and going for broke.
Not to hijack the post, but i have recently rolled a SH becuase i find that i like to solo rather than wait for 30+ min trying to fidn a group. As I started going over the different weapons to choose from as i advance in grade, i was amazed to find such a small difference in matk between these weps. SOES has 132 matk at +0. While a Desparion has 143, that is only a difference of 11 matk... Say you arent poor and decide to buy a BOMT or a SoM, those have 152 matk, that is just 9 more than a Desparion and 20 more than a SOES. Does that little Matk make that much of a difference?
Movig from 110 M.atk weapon to 131 matk weapon has given me 106 Matk in my stats. (alt+t).This is around 15-16% increase. You would get more because you got 3 INT more than me base stat.Dont forget the +3 enchant for a mage weapon its a must.
Also S grade weapons are special-enchanting them will give +4 M.atk per enchant (and +8 after you enchant it 4 times).
So an S grade weapon is ALOT stronger than A grade (duh ofc).
I find littel meaning to enchant D grade magic weapons though.
Fighting with a mage its all about how many spells you need to kill a certain mob (hunt stunners+archers for maximum effect) because we are limited as no other class by our mana pool. The diff between 2 and 3 spells is alot :/
If 10 M.atk make a mob die from 2 spells instead of 3 (i speak in general-all mobs on a cetain lvl has close HP stat) you should upgrade.Ofcourse you can add symbols+set bonuses (Demon+5 INT symbols is NICE!) so you dont have to upgrade right away (and they are cheaper).
If you are a nuker IMO it is worth it to get a SOV if you have a homu with anything less than +6. Just for the simple fact it is cheaper to spam Bsps.
Cbsps is 115 ea 3x each cast
Bbsps average price 320 ea 1x ea cast.
Its only a difference of 50 adena per cast but it adds up. I have my SOV to +5 and thats where it will stay. I usually leave town with 2k bsps using sov I hunt 3x as long without needing a refil.
I started getting my sov in November it cost me 14mil to craft and B enchants were dirt cheap. I blew it up at +4 the next 2 SOV's I bought at 20mil ea because the recipe became very rare. Blew both them up going +4. My friend OE'd one +5 and thats the one I have now.
Since C4 has gone live just the recipe for SOV has gone from 2mil to 12-14mil. Wow what a good SA will do to the price of a weapon. +0 SOV's on my server are going for 30mil now +3 are going for 35mil. But I still think SOV is worth getting.
If you are a nuker then get it! I had a +4 Homu w/acumen and I sold that for 24mil. :) I started crafting for the SoV but after not being able to farm the recipie and about half the mats as a clan effort, I thought I will just sell my Homu, my crafted mats, and buy a SoV. I got it for 31mil clean! Wasn't too bad because I had about 3.5mil worth in mats (had a few blades too). So in all reality the sword only cost me about 3mil adena...which isn't bad imo.
It is only a little more m.attk but you will save money on 1x shots and whatnot.
IMO I think it is definately worth it. Not to mention the shots over time will save you money, because it is cheaper....and you can also find sps for even cheaper to use in larger parties. I seemed to only find blesseds for C grade, but that isn't the case for B grade, at least on kain.
