You are one of the few ways the players of Lineage II actually get a say in the game, what happens there, ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. You have the ability to make things happen, as such NCSoft has given you a face on these forums with which to represent them.
I implore you to count the number of these posts you're going to be deleting in the next few weeks, because I'm willing to bet its higher than normal. Whatever your new method of detecing third party programs is, its bugged. Theres a problem with it. I'm not going to give you a sob story about how farmers are running around free, I realize you guys do ban them on a regular basis. I am, however, going to seriously suggest you look into your current methods of detecting third party programs, and/or the accounts associated with them. In the past two weeks, well over two dozen players in my server's top alliance have been banned. Both on my side of things, and my enemy's side. The excuse given was "use and/or advertisement of 3rd party programs".
While clearly I am unable to speak for every account banned, I can speak for many of them, and tell you that your methods are flawed. They need to be reinvestigated, and rethought. When asked for proof of bannings, requests are ignored. I'm reading server forums for other servers and this plague of unlegit bannings seems to be hitting them too. I don't know your methods, and I don't expect you to make them public, but I do expect at the very least that you heed the warnings of the community when we tell you there is a flaw in their findings.
I can't do much, but to ask you to in some way, to push this forward to the correct team or department to hopefully prevent future wrongful bannings, and perhaps take a little more care in the future when you click the "terminate" button. I can only hope that you take some of this post to heart, and at least look into the issue before you lock and delete this thread. Best case scenerio, maybe you can even review the recent bannings, and perhaps reinvestigate them - maybe even set some things right.
Its ok to make mistakes, but dont ignore the people asking you to rethink them. Just look into it please.
You're ignoring the possibility that the bannings are not really unlegit. Its quite possible that all of the top members on alot of the servers didn't get there legitimately.
The upper echelons are the most suspicious and the most likely to harbor the cheaters. At this point in the game people don't load up whatever program just to get to level 52. Its okay, I'm sure most of those people will be back on another account and they'll end up with another high level character with plenty of adena in a matter of weeks if not days.
Oh and don't flirt with dark elf healers. They'll tell you they're a girl and flirt back but then they'll turn around and capture everything and post it on the forums and tell everyone they're a guy.
...
Happens all the time.
I'm not ignoring that possibility, under normal circumstances, its a perfectly normal possibility. I've haven't voiced my opinion about much in the General Forums, this time however, I felt a need to.
I know the possibility for error exists, I can accept that, however many of the people about whom I speak I can verify 100% guarantee and bet any dollar amount have never touched, worked, downloaded, installed, or even considered using that for which they were supposedly banned. It has been stated that NCSoft is using new methods of detection, and I'm calling them on it. I don't expect miracles, I just expect consideration.
I have alliance members from Europe racking up phone bills into the $100's of dollars trying to figure this out. I'm trying to give them a hand, I also have enemies who are doing the same, I'm also trying to give them a hand. I think though, that some people have influence, and I believe Mistryl to be one of them, as such I can only hope for consideration, not just for the members of my server.. but yours as well.
Something like this happened to a couple of my clannie's months ago, they partied with someone in alliance who was running a 3rd party program, my friends didnt know, and because they were partied they got banned >< and also got the excuse that the issue was not up for discussion at all.
Of the 100s of aco***** I've seen banned I can assure you every one of them of them used a cheat, witnessed with my own eyes. I think their methods are very accurate, and to me, perfect.
The worst part is seeing known cheaters get their accounts back after getting banned. That's more disappointing than them not getting banned to begin with.
This is nonsense. The people that got banned recently are botters and that why they got banned. I have listened for almost 2 years in various vent and ts servers to some of the people posting to these forums while they botted! They finally get banned and they have the gall to come here and claim they were innocent? Its completely absurd.

I dont think you'll be singing this song when you get banned for no reason. Until then dont talk like you know whats going on because you dont.
Regardless if they are guilty or not, they should get a better explanation of why they have been banned.
As far as i understand they get the answer that have used/advertised/talked about 3:rd party programs and if they mail again they will ban the adress.
That is plain stupid, let the customers know a bit more, i can understand that you will not give them everything you have on them, but give them at least something and let them explain from their wiev whats been going on.
Not only are EULA violation threads inappropriate for the official board, threads of this nature almost always turn into debates of "innocent" vs. "guilty," which is why they are locked or closed. This one is going down that road, so I will close it, and I have brought the concerns in this thread to the attention of the Support Team.
5. Testing Methods: We have several tests for bots. Some of the tests are obvious and others are not. Some of you that have been tested may know what I am talking about. (I will talk about false reports later.) We have some tests that are GM side only. This means it is non-invasive and you will never see it. These tests are the ones that really identify bots. Most of the bot tests you do see are very simple tests that try to break a bots routine.
6. False reporting: False reporting of bots has always happened. This is something we are quite aware of. This is one of the reasons that bot banning is not instant. We take account termination very seriously and do not want a loyal customer banned. I have seen some discussions where customers are afraid that they could be mistaken for a bot just for playing normally. This will never happen. As long as you play this game as it was intended you will not be removed from service. I have also seen discussions where a customer was reported several times (falsely) and had their game play was interfered with because of a GM test. Some of our tests are invasive I will admit. I am working on changing that as long as it does not sacrifice our service. In a perfect world you should never have to speak to a GM.
Please ask anyone with a question about their account to send an email to the Support Team through the web site (http://support.lineage2.com). That is the only way to ask about actions taken against an account; the Billing/Technical Support phone number or the message board are not options for discussing an account.
I appreciate your constructive post and I have passed it along to the team. Thank you!
