Ive returned to L2 after a period of real life problems. i was fairly happy as instead of looking for a place to grind i just poped into my lvl of cat found it really good 2 grind....untill.
i think i was about 20% from lvling when a high lvl player ran in with about 6+ mobs behind him... i was already in a middle of a fight and they all agroed me.....anyway player was just looting while i was trying my hardest to fight them off. i died. so i sent him a whisper why do that for....he just replyed... dang it u didnt drop anything....ive made 6m adena today doing this....training lower lvls to get there items. which is kinda sad and plaync wont do nothing about it... i feel they need 2 make cats either a instance or so that if its for lvls 20-30 only them lvls can enter..... to me this is just bad to go down there with my friends as guaranted 10min there training u with 10+ mobs to get ur gear....or they shud just make it so u only drop items in inventory and not armor or weapons... :confused:
Most trainers run around in 30-40 and 40-50 Cata/necro, still some in 50-60. Just keep an eye on the room entreances and stop fighting. U can also bring higher toons there and take care of the trainers, PK or stun em ^_^ (God **** i love it when Hammercrush takes a trainerdagger out -g-)
if it is a high level charater that you have no chance in killing and if you do try to kill him he may not hit back and the mobs have a good chance of killing you and causing you to drop something this is what you do (incredibally long run on sentence).
THis is what you do. RUN to the gate keeper AND port out.
The mobs are going to keep on hitting you but you run and spam healing potions then port out of the cat - that usually breaks agro and once you are healed you can re-enter.
When you are in an area with LOTS of agro mobs you will need to continously look at the entrances of the room that you are in. When fighting you will need to positin yourself where you can see the entrance. (repeated so that you remember that you need to constantly watch who and what enters your room when you are fighting in an area whre there are alot of agro mobs that can be droped on you!).
When you SEE them enter the room and it is on a charater that you may not feel that you can kill then RUN and PORT out.
IF you think that you can kill that charater with the train then kill him. EVERY time that I had someone train on of my charaters and they tried to fake death (causes all of the mobs to agro on me even if I'm not doing anything) - well with me hitting them they have not been able to sucessfully fake death and they died to mobs :-) That's kinda killing them with their own train; it's a good thing and you may make a few million adena.
The main points.
1.) Constantly watch the entrances to your room.
2.)Kill ANYONE that runs a train into your room while you are fighting. (It's happened to me - I'm sorry that you were gathering a train for your buddies; how did I know? - IMO they need to die because of lack of respect and common scense.)
3.)If you cannot kill the trainer - STOP what you are doing and get out NOW! run - heal - port.
It's that easy once you have a plan. But if you don't do anything else that I have suggested then atleast ALWAYS watch who enters your hunting area - you'll live longer. And don't be afraid to run.
I'd rather die to a player than a mob but if you have a player and a mob hitting you then the odds are the mob will get last hit and you may drop something - if you cannot win then run and if you do die then you died trying to do something that you actually had a chance to pull off - you caint take 10+ cat mobs at once solo and have the trainer able to pull more on you at any minute and have the room that you are in continously respawn on you. RUN or kill the trainer.
IMO, people are too nice to trainers that are not griefing and are trying to level which opens the door for griefers to actually train you because you don't know if they are trying to pull for leveling or trying to pull to kill you. ALWAYS act like they are trying ti kill you - again, you'll live longer and drop less gear.
yea the running thing works......quite often tho im quite far from the enterance and can never find the gk lol wish u cud make a waypoint or something....if u can i have no idea how to as been away so long and much has changed..

one other thing that I almost forgot - bless scroll of escape; not much of a cost to someone that spends alot of time in the cats/necros if you don't have to use them often.
Okay for another noob question regarding the bsoe. I have not used these before but how does the blessed scrolls work? Are they really fast compared to the regular type or are they instant? This will help I know as our group was trained just yesterday in a necro and I got stuck in the middle of the whole mob unable to move. :(

That figures, just my luck but everything seems so $$ lol Are these scrolls something you buy with the ancient adena or do players sell them and when you say they cost alot can you give me an idea?
Blessed SOE are fast, but they are not instant. There is still the possibility of it being cancelled, just keep that in mind when choosing the right moment to use it.
ye lol..its funny when ppl use bsoe in clan wars.. some guy used 3 bsoe's to avoid loosing 1% (canceled 2 times) and if u have clan house u loose only 0,5%...
back to topic... if u see a train coming, stop hitting ur mob and go to hallway, or as said exit if ur close
usual the mobs dont aggro u in the hallways, unless u hit 1 of them ofc..
