Now I have been a lot of people asking why I don't post as much as usually do. So people complain that I post too much, and others complain that I don't post enough.
There are two main reasons why I don't post as much.
#1 : Unlike most of you people think, I play the game. Been fishing my *** off. I love it, but I could love it even more.
#2 : Mistryl has quite a handle on the boards. She's being helped by her "boyfriend" Splatter and all this board carebearness just makes me want to puke. I also listen to her, and report illegal activities through the aproppriate channels. She's just that good.
So, enough the chit-chat, and on with the fishing post. Poeple always hate/love that I make a fishing thread every day, so here are today's headlines...
Fishing is a great way for lower levels to generate IMPORTANT adena. As you all know, we hurt for gear. Fishing can net you about 200K an hour at lower fishing levels. That's not much for higher levels, but it's EXCELLENT for most people under level 40.
Ok, so enough flowers, let's see the pot.
I saw a good friend today log in after a long absence... Felys. Yes GoldenDog, it was Felys. I did not dare talk to her, maybe she was somebody else ?
But then, amonst the trading shout spamming in Giran, I notice a player wanting to buy +4DEX/-4CON dyes. I just happened to buy that recipe for 300K today, so I tried to "make a sale".
I can craft those, If you have the mats.
So what is needed ?
About 1 million worth of mats.
That's just stupid. Dyes should not require a recipe per dye. Furthermore, consumables like greater potions SHOULD require recipes, to limit the amout of created items. Scales are NOT a limit.
So what's the surprise ? After talking a while with the customer, and squeezing every ounce of opinion in him/her, the target says his brain hurts from talking to me.

In my opinion, only the accessories should require another recipe to craft. Maybe the consumables too, providing the recipes aren't too expensive. It HAS to be worth it, unlike crafting dyes.

i agree, as it seems now its not worth crafting anything else if you dont have a clan hall. the accessories should require another rec to craft tho, i think that they should be somewhat rare and special.
Proofs arent worth much, they were nice income when fishing was new but the prices soon went down. The big money lies in Fish Gems. Yes, Plain fish gems, not shiny ones :) They sell for mad amounts, seen buyshops at 15k per one in Giran. You need 200 of those for an accessory so it's a big business. Fish gems, and in a smaller scale, the scales and bones are wanted stuff :)

I think I've collected about half on my D grader.
You get about 150 per fish proof, which can turn out to be pretty nice, if anyone wants to buy them, considering the mad amount that I've personally collected. I just don't sell. Not just yet anyway.
300 for an accessory, and 150 shiny gems as well. can easily get 10 gems in an hour of fishing (shiny or not depends on your fishing expertise). at 20k-25k a pop, that is your money right there. selling the 1k or so proofs on top of the for 200a 250a each simply adds to it.

Hmmmm, yes. Just listen closely.
Fish gems are your target. 300 regular and 150 shinny, you can craft yourself just about anything.
The idea is to buy low and sell high.
Furthermore, the items you collect while fishing are usefull. Much more usefull than their Proof of catching fish value. In time, people will realise this. The borked system doesn't help tho.
Fish gems are valued at 25K on the selling market and shinny fish gems are calued at 15K. This makes a full set of gems is worth almost 10 million raw, but add two million for the speed factor, you can craft anything for 12 million.
Furthermore, the items you collect while fishing are usefull. Much more usefull than their Proof of catching fish value. In time, people will realise this. The borked system doesn't help tho.
