I was just looking at a list of all the zones and there dosent seem to be very many. How large is this world compared to other MMO games out right now? Im real big into PVE and adventuring and im worried that this game wont has as much of that to offer me. Even if this is true i just started playing yesterday and am having alot of fun so ill probably keep playing regardless.
ITS HUGE! Trust me and we are only on chronicle 4. When you actually try running around to the different places on that map, you'll realize quickly that its massive, especially with the almost 50% extra landmass that was added with c4.
It's tiny. The total available area, as of C4, is smaller than that of the island of Manhattan. Even without the ability of climbing, flight and levitation (which means you have to run around some of the mountain ranges), it'd be difficult to find two places which you can't reach on foot in under two hours (assuming they're reachable that way) from each other.
er running 2 real-time hours in a game is tiny? I dont know thats pretty enough big for me.
Running for two hours (or even just one hour) from one village to another would be ok. There are always gatekeepers if you're in a hurry. Running for two hours once around the (known) world means the world is tiny, though.
you know you can run around the whole city of NYC in around 3 and half hours
Its called a marathon lol
Also i think we run a little faster in game then people do in RL
Just so you prelude = manhatten
That didnt include nothing south of giran or north of oren or east or North of HV.
Since Prelude game is almost 3x - 4x larger meaning its probably roughly the size of NYC.
You want to get a feel of how large the world is start yourself from the edge of the beast farm on a Orc no wind walks or haste pots. Go from beast farm(since its really close to orc starting points) to Rune to Godad to Aden to HV to Oren to Giran to Heine to Florham to Dion to Gludio to Gludin (forget TI because u have to swim or TP there) to DE village and finish at Elven village.... I call you in 8 hours tell me far along u are lol

I tend to run the trip Gludin-Gludio-Dion-Giran pretty often with my dwarf (who surely doesn't run nearly as fast as world-class marathon runners), without the use of haste pots or windwalk or any other such methods. While I don't have timings for that entire run, I do have an in-game recording of the Dion-Giran part (which is roughly 40% of it all), and it runs at a little bit less than 10 minutes. Extrapolate from that. So, even if I'd run the whole trip as you suggested, I'd probably finish it in below 4 hours and I'm still of the opinion that every game world which you can run through in less than 8 hours counts as "tiny".
As far as my feeling for the world goes, the Kingdoms of Aden and Elmore surely don't feel all that large to me. And I think it's important for the OP to hear both differing points of view, as well as the rationale for them, which I'm trying to provide here.
What do you want a world it takes you 5 days to cover? I think everyone keeps missing the point that at chronicle 4 we still have a way to go. Come back at chronicle 11 and tell me the worlds to small.
If you started in DE village, went down to gludin, then to heine, north all the way to Aden, then goddard~rune... it would probably take 1:40 min with basic running speed.

Nah, with the running event people could do aden->gludin in roughly an hour, but that's with constant ww, some cases song of wind, and soe's whenever you get to a new soe zone. Full out running in the route sly suggested without ww/song of wind/soe's would take a really long time :p
