Tats affect your stats. Rigth set of tats can make a Huge difference on your character.

Buy em from people, or Merchant Mammon. They are expencive as hell to not only buy em(1 tat = 10 dyes + cost of drawing)

Best Tats for an SH are:

Option 1)
+4 Int -4 Men
+5 Wit -5 Men

Option 2)
+4 Int -4 Men
+4 Win -4 Men
+4 Con -4 Str
thanks and also how many can i get
After your 2nd class change, which is by the way, the only time you get tattos, you get 3 tatto slots.

If you're going for High Damage and Very fast casting speed tat, you need:

1)+4 Int -4 Men (10 Dyes) + about 600k Adena to apply the tatto

2) +3 Wit -3Men(10 Dyes) + about 400k Adena to apply the tatto

3) +2 Wit -2Men (10 Dyes) + x amount of adena to apply for the tatto.

That's 3 tattos right there. I haven't added the final tatto to my SH, so I have no idea how much it would take to apply the +2 / -2 Tatto. I'll guess somewhere around 200k or so.

So with this Setup, get yourself a Humunk with Acumen and Karmian Robes if you're C grade or Avadon if you're B grade.

You'll hit very hard, and your casting speeds will be close to that of SpellSinger.

I think that is the best PvP tatto / gear setup for a Spell Howler. Homunk + Acumen = 15% casting speed increase. Karmian/Avadon robes = another 15% casting speed increase or so. +5 Wit don't know the actual %, but that's also a very nice casting speed Increase.

Thats good and all if you are wanting to sit in arena 24/7 with no intention of PvE. I rather concentrait on the SH classes strong point.
I went with the +4 int -4 men, +4 wit -4 men, +4 cons -4 str. Also I feel at the levels before A grade, PvP is almost pointless. It will be better to have a set up for PvE but this is just my own personal opinion.
I went with Demon set and +5 ghoul staff with mana up. Now remember, this is my PvE set up. Casting speed is good enough on the mobs you will be fighting, if you are fighting solo, up till A grade but it never hurts to carry around a greater magic haste pot incase you DO get drawn into some pvp (in demon? Ouch x.x) or draw more aggro then intended.

When A grade comes around there isn't a whole lot of a choice. A lot go DC and SoM with acumen which is fine...you will most likely be drawn into PvP a lot at this point, also the casting speed is necessary to save you from a lot of mobs at these higher levels. Unless the level of your SH in the sig needs updating (like mine :p) you shouldn't be worrying about PvP right now. You should be concentraiting in grinding, getting those levels! Your SH is still new, fresh...let it grow before you throw it to the wolves.

I have no idea what you're talking about. My SH does a great job in PvE with the setup I mentioned.
Cast speed is important in pve too, you should only wear demon if it will let you 2 shot the mob you want to kill instead of 3 shot. The faster you're able to cast the more mobs you can kill and the more you can use btm.

You paid no attention to my post did you? I said up till A grade for PvE you don't need that much casting speed. The casting speed you get from a +4 wit bonus is good enough for ALL the mobs you will be fighting at that point, but when you get up to the 60s the mobs are faster and stronger. Thats why for A grade I said DC robe set and SoM with acumen. Besides thats pretty much the only real option to go at that point, unless you wanted nightmare or stay with Demon.

*edit* Besides I had +5 homu with acumen and karmian set at first, and I didn't notice that much of a difference. When I switched to demon and ghoul staff the mobs I soloed I killed quicker, between 40-50 I 1 shotted a lot of them thanks to my set up, and 50+ everything was either 1 shotted or I got in 2.

I did, however, notice a nice difference when I had karmian, homu with acumen, greater acumen 3 buff, and high level BD dances. That shot my casting speed up past 1k and I loved it =P but other then that...yeah I liked my demon and ghoul staff till A grade ^^
SH setup is no brainer:
+4int, +4wit (-8 men), +4con -5 str, (note +4con -5 str can be bought from the grocery and it's like 6times cheaper than +4con -4str).
thank u all for the info i guess i have been playing wrong for a while divine set and demon staff no sa
Anyways sorry seems we are starting to go off topic now. She is wanting to know about tattoos, not which equipment she should be wearing =P

I like the 2nd option best, it gives more hp (which had saved me quite a few times) and you resist stun and such better. So your best bet really is to go +4 int +4 wit and +4 cons. You wont notice much of a difference if you go +1 more to either int or wit, and you can hold more weight with the +4 cons ^^

:D I had divine set and ghoul staff with Mana up after I dropped my karmian before I got my demon! So no worries =P it was funny people giving me recs then asking for my buffs.
they ask me for buffs i tell them to rec me then i give them might shield con lol :D
