So i was killing some archers and one of them crits me.But my excelent shield defence kicks in and that crit made me 1 dmg.But it did cancel my cast.So is spell interruption dmg based or lvl/attack stat based? And if it is dmg based this would mean that shields negate dmg but dont lower the chance of interruption when they block an attack?
Any info on this would be usefull.
Any dmg has a chance of interupting your spells. The amount of dmg influences the chance of being interupted. The more dmg an attack does to you, the higher the chance it will interupt your spell. Also the chance of being interupted increases with the number of hits you take while casting the spell.
higher level players usually interrupt my spells easier in pvp, same thing with pve... however i never based it on how much damage, always levels myself. i've also had level 4 characters interrupt my 60+ when she casts before, although thats a bit harder to manage.
So this would mean that 1 dmg has a base chance to interrupt ANY spell (maybe 20?)And the higher the dmg the more the chance. But this was an archer mob-maybe archers have innate ability (base chance that no other chars have?) to cancel?
archers do tend to cancel casting a lot, but this is mostly do to the high amount of damage they generally do to us. Lately, however, I notice that my casting has been getting cancelled a LOT by mobs that couldn't cancel me before.
