Questions about "book" type weapons

I have some questions about "book" type weapons (e.g., Heathen's Book, etc)

1) Can they take Weapon Enhancements (e.g. Acumen, Health, etc)

2) If they can take Weapon Enhancements, what kind does the Heathen's Book have available

3) Why aren't there any B or A book type weapons? Are these type of weapons being abandoned by the game developer?

There are no SA's for "book" type wearpons.

Only Horn of Glory and Heathens Book are even C-grade so they are the only ones able to receive SA. Dont know if they have ones tho. If the item doesnt list SA possibilities then you can still check by taking it to the Blacksmith in town and see if he can still put one on it(Demons Sword didnt show Critical Damage but it was still a SA for it ;) )

Are there any weapon mastery skills that improve one's use of a "book"? Does "blunt" mastery help with "books"?

And the really important question: do weapon masteries matter for mages and healers? ;-)

Mages and Healers generally have Generic weapon masterys, so the type of the weapon doesnt matter. And no, a book is not a blunt, since it is not categorized as one.

Yes, generic weapon masteries do help-- it improves both Patk and Matk as long as a weapon is equipped.

And books are considered an "etc"-- it means that generic weapon masteries improve your attack when a book is equipped but no other masteries.

So basically C books s_ck and I should craft a Homunculus like every other guy has? How exciting NCsoft!! : -P

Yes. It's too bad because I rather like the books :) Esp over enchanted ones, they look cool.

Well actually with C4 here there are a few mid/top C grade weapons with Acumen. Unfortunately Stratics hasn't updated yet :(
