Summoners are better at training bots than faster runners in C4, because there is no risk of drawing aggro onto the summoner as the summon takes aggro the whole time. Only time it becomes dangerous is if the summoner is clumsy and forgets to press "unsummon" before the summon is about to die.
Yep. Otherwise Warlocks.. with their para cubic and kai would have been the best griefing class.
As of now.. I would say SWSs would be the best because of tanking, self healing, and running abilities. This is only for the skilled trainers though. FD is for chumps. Transfering aggro is so much easier once you learn how to do it properly.
lol by "do it properly" he means time it so you run into the group of farmers while they're attacking social mobs. It doesn't take skill it takes common sense.
They changed it so that training is easier now - no longer need to log out to instantly remove your servitor. You now need to make sure you're behind where you're training to and not in front of it so the mobs don't take aggro on you, and you need to make sure that you unsummon instead of letting your servitor die.
This 'fix' had nothing to do with summoner training and everything with WSs exploiting the big boom.
The ultimate in griefing is the warlock, hands down. The Binding Cubic is the best "sting" type griefing you can get (safe para on whites) against lower levels, and Kai the Cat is the fastest running trainer you can find (I'd like to see a PW reach ~240 maintained runspeed self-buffed :p ).
Yeh, good point. But you dont have alot of control over the summun. Me myself as a PW, i can duck dive turn jump climb dodge dash rounds those catacombs and pull a beutifull train :) (yesturday i got 5 blessed scrolls of res for pets) ^^
Safety > Control. You can as a summoner build a train that is totally unsafe to touch (for example in a catacomb, you can bit-by-bit train using the cheap summon by continually nuking one mob in a group that's become too large to pull). Of course it's difficult to go around corners - but that's easily solved using appropriate return points.
>>Transfering aggro is so much easier once you learn how to do it properly.
Actually it's changed in C4 too.
Also training some weird name players is possible w/ switch and TH has it too.
Oh yes, I like it when the mobs drop the pet scrolls, altho they've only done it once for me. :p
I guess I over-reacted given the thread topic -- the number of times I've been griefed/trained by 'bot-hunters' in places where there are no profarmers or botters.
For what it's worth, I'm more afraid of SK/BD/PR trainers than the human/light daggers. Confusion is harder for me to handle than FD.
Its just plain obvious to see players from (you no what) if i have a train and i see real players i will warn them :) if by accident i do train a player and he drops ill be more than happy to return his item/items "sorry in advance"
Rule of Thumb: Any high HP/High pdef class can train efficiently with social mobs. I train with my destro, no fear of dying if you do it in a lower lvl areas and it's easy to do :) No need for trainer alts or anything. I'd say that it's even safer than a FD trainer or a summoner. Summoner can get the aggro if he is lets the pet die, and FD can fail. I on the other hand have enough HP/Pdef to outlast all the mobs(can kill em all and still be standing) and I can generally keep on running so long that the mobs will just stop the chase. For emergencies, I have lionheart coupled with Guts and potions +battleroar for some massive healing so no probs ;)
Generally, I'd say PW/TH are best for training _and_ griefing lower lvls. If you want to grief someone to begin with that is >.>
The ultimate griefing/training class would be a TH or a PW. Simply because it is quick and easy. I Have played a TH and a Warlock, training people is by far easiest and most enjoyable with the TH. You may say it is safer with the warlock trains, but it is pretty difficult to control your train and get it to your target before they realize it, especially in a catacomb/necropolis situation. As a TH its as simple as silent walking around the area, finding a victim, grabbing as many mobs as you can, and dropping it on them. Sure fake death can fail but a TH can sure take a beating giving you time to try it at least 2 or 3 more times before you die. You also have dash that can be used in many occasions.
A Wwarlock can paralyze people but from experience, that cubic does not have a great landing rate, especially when the person is buffed. In a farmer group situation, majority have more then 1 healer, so paralyzing one wont help. In a normal party with active players you're most likely to be killed, and you cant run away/kill people as well as a TH can.
As already mentioned, summoners are great at this. I'm personally fond of going around and using the aqua cubic on low level botters. They used to stop for nothing, and continue hitting mobs once it landed (which means they got one shotted by the mob :)), but have since changed to run up and sit at mobs instead. If the mob's aggro, they're still dead. If the mob's not aggro, having a pony on hand to dump it onto them works well.
In the past few days I've gotten a brig tunic, 3 bronze breastplates, dev stockings, and a hard leather helm. I need to find more botters in D-grade to support my cubic habits. ;p
