I have always felt that the Lineage II map was not up to what a map is for :
-Knowing where you are.
-Finding your way.
So I finally decided to make an enriched version :
20% scale preview (http://musaran.free.fr/L2/RichMap/Lineage%20II%20c4%20Map%20-%20Enriched%20v2.mini.jpg)
Full version, 1708k (http://musaran.free.fr/L2/RichMap/Lineage%20II%20c4%20Map%20-%20Enriched%20v2.jpg)
Clic to view.
To save it, right-clic link and choose "Save Target...".
Features :
Return zones
Returning from anywhere in a same colored zone brings you back to the same place (the one town usually).
(Returning = either "to nearest village", Return spell or Scroll of Escape)
Please note that :
-The "/loc" command tells your current return point (neutral zone = Gludio). The zone name on map and the name displaying on screen are something different.
-Light and Dark Elves can't return to the opposite race village. They each end up in their respective village instead.
-Derby, Coliseum, Oracles, Rift have their own return point, inside them.
Tile grid
Technically, the L2 world is an assembly of those big tiles.
Major game structures tend to fit in one square and stand in the midle of it.
You may notice that the tile boundaries often :
-Generate loadings.
-Match return zone boundaries.
-Have mismatching textures.
Teleports
The Thick black arrowed paths are the main network.
The Thin white lines are the one-way teleports to nearby hunting grounds.
The blue lines are the noblesse teleport (temporarily accessible to everybody).
Note that :
-Some networked routes are one-way only.
-Some networked routes have different prices depending the way.
-There are boats too (TI<->Giran Habor ; TI<->Gludin ; Rune<->Gludin ? ).
-Rift is accessed from the statue at any catacomb/necropolis.
-Oracles are accessed from their respective 7 Signs priest during 1st period (quest).
-Monster Derby Track is accessible for free, from any non-starter town. Only way to exit it is back where you came from. It has an arena and a warehaouse keeper.
The main point of this map is to spot shortcuts and save adena. ;)
"Disclaimer" : This is free to use wherever and however you like, but the original map belongs to NCSoft.
Zipped source file (Paint Shop Pro 8 format) (http://musaran.free.fr/L2/RichMap/Lineage%20II%20c4%20Map%20-%20Enriched%20v2.zip)
Features are split on separate vector layers, so you may tune/rework it to your liking.
