What should I get as far as a new set? Currently I have divine....I'm looking for more casting speed but don't think it's possible and more mp would be good...what set?
I'm thinking BW Tunic set or Avadon Robe set? What set would you or did you choose when you hit 52?
I'd go for BW robe set if I were you, it sinply adds an obscene amount of MP. As for cast rate, if you must have it, try an accumen weapon (homonculus?). However, any mana up weapon would suit your needs as a healer too.
I'd get a BW set as well. Leave avandon for PvPers, as a buffer and healer you'll need all the mana you can get. Unless going for PvP, I suggest just getting more and more mana, and skip the Acumen Weapon for a simple magic haste pot ^.^
At 52 if you want a little more Matk then a crystal staff, get a Soulfire Dirk w/ Mana Up. Its a step above the crystal staff and still only uses 2x bsps consumption.
As an EE in my clan found out after I told him this, BW robe set actually has higher cast speed then avadon thanks to the +3 wit. Also the mp, and mp regen make the BW robe set the end all of b-grade healer sets. If you really want more cast speed then get an acumen weapon (c4 increased the ammount of c-grade acumen weapons). Or if you have gotten good at timing your heals but constantly run low on mp then try a conversion weapon for major boost to max mp.
If you can afford it, get blue wolf. It is simply THE healer set. As was said, it has a good amount of casting speed increase - on EE it is actually faster than avadon, but on a SE it should be about the same as avadon (dark elves get less actual casting speed bonus from +wit because they have a lower base wit). And the mp bonus of the set is obscene. Actually, with blue wolf robes you have more mana than with tallum or DC robe set. I compared bw robes on my SE to DC robes, and it would not have been worth it to upgrade to DC robes. Casting speed with DC robes was only slightly faster, I had less mp and the pdef increase was not that much. Definitely not worth 90m for the DC robe set when you already have bw robes.
So go bw robes until you eventually can get your hands on a majestic robe set. That one gives another mp boost, about the same casting speed, higher pdef and a nice stun resist plus mp regen bonus.
BW set, without question.
It adds 3 to your WIT, and it IS considerably faster than AvaRobe, even on DE (dont have the exact numbers here, but tried it).
On my Sorc it adds about 80-90 MORE to CastSpeed than AvaRobe, and that is unbuffed.
Nothing beats BW for Healers/Buffers (on a side-note: nothing is better than BW for B-Grade-Nukers in PvP, but noone seems to realize that ;) )
