Need some advice on my A grade Weapons and armor for tyrant. So if u have played one, ur advice is greatly apreciated. Ive heard 2 setups from tyrants on my server . 1 says Dragon Grinders with SA health. 2. says Blood tornados with focus. As far as armor goes ive heard alot of tyrants says talum light cause its cheap to complete the set. others say majestic light for stun resistance so u can melee better. I was also wondering if u do put SA focus on blood tornados it says ur critcal att goes up 61. If so that would put me at 120 or so without buffs. If anyone has this on there weapons do u really notice a bigg difference. For armor i was thinking nightmare light for slp resistance and it has like a very weak vr kinda. I was wonderind how well that wrks if anyone has it.
I was a Lvl 63 Tyrant on Devianne Before I retired him. From my personal Experience most of the Tyrants on my Server that have used Dragon Grinders w/Health has almost always sold them and went back to Bloody Tornado's w/Focus. That extra Critical is great for the fact we swing fast as hell and hit hard as hell at the same time.
As for Armor for some reason I don't get why people seem to want to go Majestic light. Sure the +stun is nice but +Bow P attack is worthless until your 8 and have a Bow with Bison Totem. Besides that the whole set does nothing for you. The Nightmare gives sleep and hold which is a major Killer to use Tyrants but at the same time the 3% VR is nothing to us. I had that set for a little less then a week and was like this is trash.
My personal favorite is DC light as the Pattack and Pattack Speed increase is great along with +STR and -1Con is nice also. But its all about personal preference. I have to say with DC Set, BT no FocusFull Prophet Buffs, BD, and SWS I had around 1100 Attack Speed and 1000 P Attack and 750 - 800 PDef was nice. That was with Puma Totem, with Bear I had just under 1000 Attack Speed and Over 1050 P attack.
I'm not yet 61 and I don't have A grade yet. Seems most tyrants will either go nm light for the VR+sleep/root resistance or tallum heavy (not light) for the atk speed and pdef. I can see why people like to go with the BTs but I want to use a dragon grinder with health just so I can heal myself better with ogre. But I box a prophet (no VR =/) and don't do many big groups so I'm a bit jaded toward better heals.
I also plan to use tallum heavy for the reasons I already said. I love atk speed but I'll miss the run speed. >_< And I won't use any light armor because I'm an elven tyrant, and nm light looks terrible on me. I think I might use it if it didn't look so bad though....only for the built in VR. Buuut the VR isn't very useful in pvp; it's a pvm thing. DC light is nice and all but tallum has more to offer in terms of dps. I don't see the point in majestic unless maybe you totally killed your con with tattoos; it doesn't make you immune to stun it just helps a bit. Tallum light is worthless, that's why it's so cheap; you'd be better off staying with either bw heavy or doom light.
I am a 6x tyrant and I use Dragon Grinders with health and NM light. The NM light gives a good resistance to sleep and hold so it is imposible for a mage to sleep you. This lets me get close to the mage and use my insane atk spd and 1k+ p atk on them. They drop like flies. Consider it!
