i was wondering if gimping dex for strenght for a tyrant is a good or bad idea. (like -4dex +4tr)
Anyone has experience is this?
1 - i know dex is very good for pvp..but ths tyrant is just my twinkie for fun, got my main for pvp :)
2 -I don't wanna gimp my con cause i just love the hp.
3 - fist are blunt type weps so don't miss that often, and if i miss once in a while i think the +4 str will make up for it bigtime
4 -i don't think the evasion, runnin speed and p.attack speed differs that much on a -4 dex orc..
but maybe im wrong 'cause didn't test it yet. And since it cost a lot of adena i don't wanna change dyes a lot :)
Call me wrong but anything that lowers our dex which in turns lowers your evasion is not a good thing. As a tyrant we want to keep our evasion if not raise it.
you loose a lot lowering your dex and not just in accuracy. you actually dont loose that much hp with -con. -4 puts you down about 300hp.
and you really wont gain a lot +str. damage output at +4 puts your dmg up about 15 points per hit. comparatively not a lot. i would +dex2 -4con +2str and pay the same money (1.74m aa for +4-4 tattoos, x10, but 1.74m also gets you 20 +2-2 tattoo dyes) for badderass orc.

-4 CON is a lot more than -300 HP, besides CON ALSO effects CP. Some classes just shouldn't mess with stats, maybe Tyrant is one of them.
It wouldn't be that bad imo. Just don't go overboard and do -9 dex or something. X_x
On a side note, did you know orcs can get less than 10 dex through tattoos and set bonuses? I'm not sure if you can apply 3 +4 -6's (I know you won't get any more than +5 in a stat but it doesn't say whether it will let you apply it or not for the -stat) but with -18 dex from tattoos and -2 dex from a set bonus you can have an amazing 6 dex.
I would consider dex a bad trade off for most everything after all Dex effects accuracy, speed, crit rate, attack speed, evasion and shield block rate. Strength only effects p attack. So if you hit more often and crit more often isn't that better then a little more damage? Con effects a lot of elimates too! Breath gauge , HP, Cp how much you can carry and HP regen rate! The lower you con the longer you have to sit to regen. Trick is how are they going to be played if you are soloing with outside buffer and healer then strip con for Str and Dex you have healers to keep you alive.
So I reccommend -con rather then -dex Bless the body and regen buffs can make up for anything you lose from stripping con. Of course might can make up that needed strength too!
Dex only affects things a little bit though. Most of the things dex affects get less than a 1% difference, like critical only gets 1 or 1.5 points changed per point of dex. Atk speed is around 1% per point, accuracy/evasion isn't even 1 per point. Str only affects patk, but it makes a pretty big difference. On a tyrant losing out on con means losing a pretty big chunk of both hp and stun resistance.
Then you need to look at what tyrant is like as a class. Is accuracy an issue? Not really. They already have extremely good accuracy thanks to +4.75 accuracy on fists and +3 from passives. Do they evade well? No they do not. You can afford to lose a little of either of those and still live. Critical is minor because dex just doesn't do much to it. Attack speed though....now there's where you see a difference. We have so many ways to boost our atk speed, especially if you use puma and fist fury like I do. 4 dex can impact that majorly. On the other hand if you tend to ogre or maybe bison in parties and rely on HP builds instead of damage per second, you could live with dropping your attack speed some. (I wouldnt puma in a party either X_x) Movement speed....tyrants are already very fast and the slow totems really don't get a big improvement from dex either. If you really have to haul it, that's what wolf or rabbit are for.
I don't see messing with str as wise for a tyrant either. As much as people seem to say tyrants don't need str to pvp, they do. This is coming from experience fighting tyrants and the small amount of time I've played one myself. Tyrant's rely heavily on their patk because hurricane isn't really easy to spam. You gotta land stun to charge it or else you just end up taking too much damage while you charge. The rest of the time you have to do normal hits.
And yes con makes a big impact. Tyrants have a massive HP modifier compared to any human fighter except warlords and glads. I've got almost as much HP as my TK does at level 75, and I'm low 5x. Too bad we don't have pdef to go along with it. =/ Also the more HP you have, the more you can heal with Ogre so it's kind of important if you need to heal like that.
I'm not going to mess with my stats for now. Tempted to nuke con for patk and atk speed but I won't do that until I get tallum heavy.

Funny idea, but anybody who uses +4/-6 tattoos is just plain stupid. You get +4/-5 dyes from the dealer at exactly the same price. No idea why these +4/-6 are in the game at all.
Imho those +4/-5 are the best value for the money, you get a complete tattoo for only about 660k (41k per dye, 250k for making the tattoo). Best thing I've ever bought... :)
Ok, but I have no idea about tyrants, so back to topic... ;)
well like i told ya'll, the tyrant isn't for pvp (for at least very very long while)
primairy mission= solo against mobs, wanna kill them fast and have no downtime
Orcs are notorious for only getting great at high lvls but I must say lvl 68+ Tyrants are one of THE BEST PvP classes in game. They just take lots of skill and knowledge to play well. I know people want to say only ranged classes are PvP and melee are PvE but more accurately its ranged are the EASIEST PvP class to play while melee are more difficult and skill/knowledge based.
