When a Healer gets Bored

OK atm my SE is helping clannies bring up a couple of new toons. One is a hopeful SE to be the other a TH wannabe.

Now I buff them and anyone else that asks (nicely mind you...oi doesn't cut it) but find that I rarely have to heal so much so that I've had time to do some adena art (thats gonna be printed out and made into a b-day card for my hubby).

Well the clannie thats the dagger was complaining about going through the monsters too quickly and I was bored so without him knowing I went and got him some extra mobs...that way he'd have something to kill and I'd have someone to heal or rez if it all went [censored] up :p

I wish you could have heard him on vent.....

daggers have troubles handling 3+ white monsters (unless debuffed w/ stuff like chaos).
probably the TH should have used UE and/or Dash/FD + switch. You have died instead.

i dunno about you healers... i have an se in my clan who usually just falls asleep, goes afk for extreme lengths of time and is often intoxicated and/or high. after a few deaths, hes started carrying about a thousand greater heal pots and hands em out before we go hunting... just incase. its amazing he ever made it to 75.

If he's in a mindset to stare at a screensaver for 3 hours, it's no surprise at all that he can grind like nobody's business :)

The hardest part about being a healer, is when you're the one holding the group together and the party members beg you to stay. I've fallen asleep at the keyboard and let someone die before I could finally log out. Add that to the fact that buffing in a large party is mind-numbingly boring and adds onto the urge to nod off.

I remember once i was in a party with a friend and she kept flaggin on me; no big deal we do it all the time. Well one time i thought it would be funny if after she flagged then ran into the room to pull a mob i would leave party and root her :eek:

Good thing we were in our mid 30's and she got her exp back fast enough :D

Unfortunatly i lost in this because i had 20% rez to rez her and after she pked me all she had was a scroll :p

though for one time that would be a bit silly, but it's a nice idea if it happens constantly.

If you find your job as a healer boring then you are either a secondary healer in a perfect group or your party is leveling at the wrong spot. ;)

I can feel for you poor SE's. Now I do have a EE healer and without VR, I am far to busy keeping everybody alive to grow to bored.

Also, I did use to have some big melee weapons for those parties that hardly required heals. Just start whacking the beasties the same as the other DD's do.

Now this is way more intensive then the avarage DD. Assist tank (zzzz), assist tank (zzzzz), assi... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Lol I wish the healers in my clan were as temptingly naughty as Ma ^.^

Don't wish for something you could easily get but not rid of. :p

priceless..

I find myself recently hunting with my alliance near the Devestated Castle.

There's a rock up there that makes for a nice vantage point to watch them beat the undead things for hours on end. The prophet and I usually sit up there, and the mage does too while she's regenning MP.

It's been dubbed "Mystic Rock."

Given that I go AFK every now and then, I've instituted a new rule.

"AFK. No one has permission to die."

Surprisingly, no one has died while I was afk yet... They've sure gotten close...
