Hello everyone I started today am a Lv5 Dark elf fighter. I have done a couple quest here and there and talked to many NPC's. I dont want to level fast I simply want to becareful and enjoy myself while i level. OK so my question is the following:
I have about 180 SP and i just turned level 5 , i want to aquire some basic skills. I would like to know from the people who have done this many times, what is worth getting at this early stage of my levels. I mainly want to solo mayb eto 25 or 30 and maybe group of from there. I just dont want to waste SP on something that sounds good but is prob crap. I plan to follow either bladedancing or not to sure about the assasin route. I guess whichever one can solo / pt well.
So yeah i hope to hear from some on what i should spend SP on for my current level. THX :)
The general weapon/armor masteries are good. Only get the dmg spell that goes with the weapon u are using. Dont get powershot unless u have a bow. The drain skill is a nice lead in when you are soloing. Poison is a waist of sp imo. Don't really remember what other skills there are pre 20. If freazing strike is pre 20 don't get it until u have extra sp. It isn't that great in pve.

As far as saveing SP, you don't have to. Get the more important skills first then blow the rest on things like freazing strike. It doesn't hurt to have it. By the next skill stage you will have enoguh sp for your important skills anyway.

If you want to solo and party phantom ranger is your best choice. Bladedancers don't solo, but they are loved in groups. An abys walker can kinda solo but not really. Phantom ranger is a good solo and party class.

GL and welcome to L2.
First of all get a skill for the wearpon you will be using. For PK>BD it's power strike, for assasin it's mortal blow or power shot. Then lvl 1 wearpon mastery, then pocibly defence aura, and if you will be able to later get armor masterie 1. But Attack Aura from lvl 10 is more important then that armor mastery, so if you dont feel you will have enoughf sp at lvl 10 then cut on the defencive skills.
later upgrade the skills you got, but ofencive first.

Good luck in world of Aden.
Also, a little warning to you: cheating is legal in this game, and GMs will not do nothing against scamers who use ingame means. Be highly suspecious of anyone who ask you to give them your's items, or drop them on flor when they are clsoe to you. And just use you's comon sence
Ok... well... first off... do you have an idea of what you want to play later in the game... dagger user, archer, melee?

Because that might just make your decision easier. Having said that... you get infinite skill points... I have over 6 million at the moment (though the skills at the upper lvls cost more) so whatever you spend, it's no big deal.

If you want to experiment with some skills to see if your prefer one playstyle over another, go nuts.

Welcome to the game.
Thank you that was very helpful. :)
Well seeing someone said phantom ranger is very good solo and in pt. It seems ill be looking into that for my first toon then. So yeah Phantom ranger sounds nice but is it an expensive toon to make?
All archers are expencive because they use much more ss then mele fighters.
Become as Shillien Knight (SK).

We can be DD, Tank and Ranged Nukers (have a lot of ranged attacks and debuffs).

And we get to have cool cubics that help us fighting.

they can be expensive, but most find a way to do it. If you do decide to go PR don't use a bow to lvl unti 52. This will cut down on a lot of costs and allow you to build up a stockpile of adena. It can be painful using a dagger when you have all those archery masteries, but until lvl 52 u are fine with a dagger and will still be able to lvl.
That's something I never understood, saying take a class, but don't use the weapon it's suppose to use.

I mean, if I were to make an archer, I'd want to use a bow from NG to A grade, maybe have dagger too in case your low on arrows, but I would use my bow most of the time.

well until lvl 40 you are no different than a dagger as far as skill list. Until around lvl 52 your lvl 40 dagger skills are good enough to get you partied as a dagger.

The reason you would do it is to save a lot of money on arrows/ss. Also in parties you have less down time. Daggers tend to be cheaper than bows especially since as a dagger you don't need to buy the top lvl weapon to lvl.

It just saves you a lot of money to use a dagger between 1-52. That's the only reason to do it is if money is tight. If I rerolled an archer, I could afford a bow and top weapon until a-grade. If I rerolled an archer on a dif server, I'd pinch every penny.
