Is this behaviour OK? (GMSpam question maybe)

Right, I have a question about.....err.........automated players, and it's not going to be a whine fest.

I GM these "people" like any law-abiding citizen should but I have decided that I may as well use them while they are there. So, I have taken to seeding their mobs and harvesting the rewards. I am not partied with them or gaining XP so I cannot see it as condoning this behaviour or being any part of it. As I said, I report them when I have any petitions left. I have tried training etc. but they just come back.

So, my question is quite simple, is this "legal" behaviour or am I likely to feel the banhammer if I continue? I know other players do it but I'd like the official word from NCNA please.

Thanks in advance.
duh. of course its ok.
As long as you don't swear in english, you're good to go.
Cool.

No need to be offensive Oranj. Simple question after all. You never know what NCNA might decide to ban you for next. If God (Spam) put's it in here we all have something to fall back on. So, I'm a little overcautious, is that a bad thing? ;)
It's totally ok. I like to KS them all the time if I can too. Heck if you wanted to do that to a normal player you could.
That was actually a very logical question. By seeding/harvesting their monsters, he is directly benefitting from an activity that violates the EULA.

However, I'm quite sure that NC won't care, in this case :)

Don't mind Oranj any. If Oranj tried to think of something intelligent to say that required more then one or two short sentences, his/her head might explode. Anyways concerning your question, I'm fairly certain the GMs wouldn't have a problem with what you are doing. If they did they would of done things against training, ksing, and things like that from the start. But it is always better to be safe then sorry :D
I done it in the past, i dont see any harm in seeding there mobs. :p

(And it a makes a good profit also)
Well it is not without its risks though.

It has happened that people in a party with automatons were assumed automatons themselves and got themselves accidentily banned. This can happen to you as well of course.
First I think all toons in a bot train are testd as bots, so no worry for being mistaken.

Second, if I remember correctly doesn't seeding mobs eliminate normal drops? So you are doing a good thing by cutting there profits. I'm just surprised that no one is checking up on there bots! Must not be very afraid of being banned.
I don't seed their mobs.

Since I rolled a sorceror, one cast does over 1/2 damage to the mob, entitling me to their loot.

If the bot party includes a spoiler, I like to corpse life drain the dead mobs.. gotta be quick to beat the sweep on the bot, but it's a great feeling..
Like I said in my original post, I have trained them but the rezzer is just set to autolog so they wait 10 minutes, log back in and rez the party.

I usually get a PM from the group leader asking me why I trained them. So I think they must have a warning that goes off if a certain number of the party die. If you let them run around killing then they seem quite happy to let you seed.

It's only something I do when I have no party to XP in. To make it work you just have to spam the harvest button when the mobs health gets low just in case the mob spoils and the dwarf beats you with his/her sweep.

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer they were gone and will continue to petition. I just figured that I may as well use them, and my paid game time, for something benficial while I wait for the banhammer to hit them.

My real concerns were (as stated by a previous poster) benfitting from something that is against the EULA (although I am not breaking that myself) and getting classed as a bot simply by being in the same room with these "players". As long as each suspect character is tested individually I should have no reason to fear being banned.
My boyfriend (SH) had been seeding bot groups pretty extensively on Alligator island and around Ivory Tower. After some time they were not very happy about it and always logout when he came nearby. Same happened in Garden of Eva. Sweet we had hunting spot for us and only us :)
Don't see a problem with it and I think it messes up their spoils too. I know on my SH if I come across a bot group I will often corpse drain their mobs on death to keep them from harvesting spoils.
