Grand olypiad Severly broken

General Discussion Started Last reply 66 posts
As of now i'm the only Noble Shillien saint on Hinde. Thus i'm forced to fight in the olypiad outside my class.
Now here's where i'm having trouble following the logic behind this whole system.
My class is a support class i get no offensive skills to kill another player, Simply designed to keep people alive.
So, NCsoft comes up with the Brilliant idea to pit Players against eachother in a tournamet VS Other players, Including healers!
This system is broken please fix it.

Now not to just throw out a problem without a solution or atleast a Logical idea.

Maybe allow a 2v2 where the healer only can support the player they are sided with.
however since i'm only noble healer that can participate, This to is a broken idea.

So my last idea would be to have a Player vs a rather difficult NPC and i have to heal and support this player to help kill this NPC. Maybe it para's and poisons sleep .ect ect to test my support abilities.

well enough ranting. Lets hope this broken system gets fixed in the near future.

*Edit* I guess i have one more idea..Allow our Subclasses to fight in the Olypiad for our mains. I might actually win one with my Warcryer :)
i thought there's 1 hero for each class? if you're the only shillen saint in the server wouldn't that means you already won by default? so why even bother to fight?

if not then i apologize
Have to compete atleast 5 times and win once
basically you need to score the most points out of your class.
If you don't compete you can't become hero

For example, even if a player has accumulated the most Olympiad points in the current period, if he has competed less than 5 times or has never claimed a victory, he is ineligible to become a Hero; it is possible that periods may pass without a Hero being designated.

read the hero system form the library
congrats...
but it sounds like your going to have to borrow a clannies mean duals, and swat someone to death..

gl tho :)
go find a SE/proph/EE/bishop to exhange wins, then you'll have 2 healer heroes :P

cooperation ftw!! and no i'm not being contructive
You don't not have a choice with whom you pvp.
i got pwned. sry can't help you there
Thanks, I was wondering how this works for the healer classes, this is exactly as I figured NCSoft would muck it up.

Not that I am even close to the Olympiad but now I know I, being a bishop, don't need to even try to get there...

Pray you get to fight an ally and let him/her let you win. Seems the only way. Or wait till theres 1 more SE.
Yeah seems i'm going to have to rig a win or pray someone Disconnects during our fight LOL.
Unfortunately then i feel i don't deserve the hero status if i had to rig a flawed sytem.
They just need to make it different for every class to earn hero status.
PVP another player to be considered a hero is pretty lame. looks like NC soft is running out of ideas or they are not imaginative enough.
It doesnt help that most healers are duo boxed as well of course. A lot of healers just stopped playing.

But dont worry, sooner or later other healers will become noble as well and then you can compete.

Patient you be little one, time come for you it will. ;)
Couldn't you win by simply having the most HP?

Sleep/ root... and smack them a few times, and heal yourself before the timer ends?

Thought about the same thing.
Root them; get your self a pole that have bigger distance to hitting.
Hit him a few times with out him being able to hit back and then keep him rooted and sleept until its done.
Good luck in getting NC to admit that there is a flaw in their game design :D .... i mean it seriously, good luck.

It will never happen, i think the only answer you are likely to get is that it is a feature of the game. Kind of like the "great feature" of multiple fruits pr seed, with out allowing the extra fruits to be bought by the manor lords. When everyone said it was a flaw, NC´s stance was that it was a feature and that we could post in the suggestions forum if we wanted, and we all know how useful that is :D
SE can win fights, hope for a melee class and spam root or use a bow with crit slow. I lost to a prophet in the olympi which was very embarrasing, but well played by the prophet. He used draco crit slow and that was basically game over as i couldnt really get close enough to launch any moves. You could also try pole arm + root.

How about this scenario which no one has mentioned yet:

Start the Battle. Root them. Whip out your Bow and Kill em?

Should work much better than the Pole, even with an NG bow :p

Edit:

Bah!!! SPS Beat me to it!!!
Also i dont believe you need a win. On the PTS ive known people who lost 5 battles and still become hero with 0 wins. SO long as you have at least 5 battles and 1 point left by the end you should win. Just make sure that after your 4th lose you wait for a point boost before loseing again.
yea i never went winless lets just say i had horrible draws as an archer.

I also got the summoners or nukers lol SKs also kick even archers [censored] if the SK knows what the hell he is doing.
you could also try a para SA weapon and root + windstrike untill it lands. might be a low way to kill, but healers don't have that much choice in this unbalanced competition.

this is correct, The system is fine, the problem here is player in question lack of creativity. This is a PVP game, and just because your a healer doesn't mean you get an easy ride in a PVP competition.

Heros are Heros for a reason because they can stand above the rest, not because they can stand, sit and heal. Healers and buffers are not excluded from the fact that this competition is PVP based. Granted that PVP is not their primary focus of their class it still can be done. You can self buff and your opponent obviously can't because all buffs are removed.

Root is not just PVE but can be used for PVP aswell as I am almost positive that you are aware of. If you spent alot of time practicing in the colossium or the arena as you were leveling , fighting other classes and learning how to defeat them with the tools that you have then we wouldn't see this post at all.

Before you blame the system take a step back and say "is there a way i can make this work?" and there is, because things such as the olmpyd isn't created over night, there is careful thought and planning that goes into the implementation of an idea such as this and if you truely think about it you will find a way.

If you still have difficulty i recommend using the gatekeeper to go to the monstertrack derby and begin to practice your PVP skills before enlisting in a PVP competition.

as a side note, the subclass idea wouldn't work because... your not going for Warcryer hero are you? + heros are for third job classes ~.~
"+ heros are for third job classes ~.~ " Incorrect, you do not even need a sub-class to acheive 3rd job change. I know of about 20+ 3rd job changed characters on gustin before the olympiad even started.

I love this, my whole time as an SE and the #1 response to me was always "you're a healer you're not meant to pvp". But now it's a requirement and ppl are now turning arround and saying "it's a pvp game, suck it up and learn". I'm not trying to be rude, I just find it 100% ironic.

As to the OP, I totally understand your pain with this. With the rules being that the person who does the most damage at the end of the 3mins kinda hurts for healers. As was mentioned, your best hope is to try the root and shoot method and hope you face alot of melee that don't have bows themselves. The other thing to try is duals and light armor and try to use tats to increase your dex for greater attack speed. In this your buffs could end up bringing victory against some classes. Like others have said, try different methods against different classes in the arena/coli to see if you can find something that works.
i thought SE could PvP pretty well...against a non-ranged char...root + self buffs + bow = pain

edit: and sleep + heal for a nice recharge
There's mass pity for the bishop in our competitions so far, it's sort of like putting an elpy in with Baium and saying "do your best". A SE can TRY to root and shoot, providing they aren't against a ranged class but it's still highly, highly unfair.

I do get a kick out of that though. Healers do get told you are a HEALER you don't get attack spells!!!! Then we have to try to do something in this thing.
The OP went out and bought a carnage bow just for this competition. He was there spamming root for 4 or 5? rounds of the Olympiad. Root worked maybe 3 or 4 times total, most of which was against the dwarf. ;) Bad luck or bug? I really don't see what else it is he could have done.

On a side note, since I can't check the rules from work, how is the Olympiad judged? Is it the amount of damage done overall or ratio of hp left at the end or what?

"+ heros are for third job classes ~.~ " Incorrect, you do not even need a sub-class to acheive 3rd job change. I know of about 20+ 3rd job changed characters on gustin before the olympiad even started.

Heroes

A player who has recorded the highest score in each class in the Grand Olympiad, a Player vs. Player tournament played among the Noblesse, is conferred the title of Hero. Heroes are awarded exclusive weapons and abilities along with a distinct aura.

now my friend, how do you become a noble? you require a 75 subclass before you can gain the title noblesse.

This quote was taken straight from the site, and you need to be in your 3rd job class

so the requirement for hero is

76/75

as for healer PVP I have watched many healers do excellent pvp against other classes, Except Archers and summoners >.< they don't fair to well there... But like someone stated, and i read to be true you don't have to win all the matches you need to just have the highest score of your class and not hit 0 points, but also compete in a minimum of 5 matches.
why being SE is broken on the olympiad:
1. no active damaging skills.
2. Everyone (not 100% sure about dwarves, i guess bandage works) can have mind shield self buff as of c4
3. lack of blessed sps finally fixes root/sleep lading rate
4. everyone attending Olympiad and having no bow is kinda screwed
----
So SE can win in a mirror (obviously), probably BH (DC robes come in handy, mostly coz backspoil doesn't help ).
EE fight seems tricky (EE can have focus too, SoES).
Prophet seems out of question. Bishop too faster (much faster cast/sleep)
The rest seems completely out of questions.
----
Trying para weapon seems the best offer to me.
out of all the buffer/healer class (excluding warcryers and overlords) Prophets have the best chance of competiting due to heavy armor masteries and self buffs, and with along side the ability to root.
Para weapons have a horrible, horrible chance of landing against a same level player. You could fire it off like 50 times and never have it work. I've tried it...

The system is fine, the problem here is player in question lack of creativity. This is a PVP game, and just because your a healer doesn't mean you get an easy ride in a PVP competition.

sorry drek but what a bunch of bull. I can't blame ya tho, as a summoner I'm sure you didn't party alot of healers untill c4 :p

any healer against a nuker/summoner/archer is screwed. sure, be creative, I could gimp my con for +dex and +str tatoos just for the olympiad and I'd still miss 75% of all hits against archers, and nukers and summoners eat healers alive.

Before you blame the system take a step back and say "is there a way i can make this work?" and there is, because things such as the olmpyd isn't created over night, there is careful thought and planning that goes into the implementation of an idea such as this and if you truely think about it you will find a way.

you mean like they carefully thought out the 7 signs? yeah that worked out great.

If you still have difficulty i recommend using the gatekeeper to go to the monstertrack derby and begin to practice your PVP skills before enlisting in a PVP competition.

yes, practice 1v1 pvp because everyone knows how much strategy that takes. its only a matter of time everyone figures out they have to carry a staff with mental aegis 4 buff... gg trying to sleep/root.
I thought the accepted practice was to go compete against someone who willingly gives you the win.
Until there is another Shilen Saint noblesse, go in and lose 5 times and get hero.

After there is another Shilen Saint, fight against him/her and win.

o_O
another note, yes Lineage2 is a pvp game, but its based on GROUPED pvp. 1v1 means next to nothing, and 90% depends on the size of your wallet (SOES for btb5, sprite staff for MA, extra bow for non ranged.. you get the picture). 2v2 is where things get interesting, and the more people join in, the more strategic the pvp will get and the more chance the side wich actually has the most skill wins. This competition would have been great in World of Warcraft, where very class is balanced to eachother.

Yes I pvp alot, but I know my role in pvp, wich is stay in the back and heal the vital targets and rez dead people, wich NCsoft made my main skill, and all of a sudden in this hero competition I need to become a hero based on a total diffrent skill, namely killing people, I find this very flawed.

there are 3 healer classes in this game who have been done nothing but healing from 1 to 75, and all of a sudden they are thrown into an arena against a nuker and people say 'hey, be creative' 0_o wtf mate.

this competition already reeks of corruption, people will be bought off to let them win (yay, more ebaying) or friends will take turns to die.

my suggestion:

*make hero competition a 9v9 competition, and the ones who win will all become hero, doesn't matter if there are 2 of the same classes in that party.

*let there be handicaps if you fight a weaker class (also includes dwarves and sws)

Originally you had said that that hero was only for 3rd job change, that statement is false, that is what I said and what you quoted but did not understand. Also your quote does not add anything to your arguement. It states that a hero is one that is a noblesse and wins the competition. Let us look at the requirements for noblesse.

Noblesse

Overview

A player who has reached level 75 in their subclass and completes the Path to a Noblesse quests is able to become a Noblesse. Noblesse are granted special abilities that are primarily used in sieges and raids, giving the Noblesse a leading role in combat. Once a character earns the title of Noblesse, both main class and subclasses are given the title. Special skills conferred by the title can also be used in both classes.

Let us also look back to your quote:

A player who has recorded the highest score in each class in the Grand Olympiad, a Player vs. Player tournament played among the Noblesse, is conferred the title of Hero. Heroes are awarded exclusive weapons and abilities along with a distinct aura.

If we look at both of these quotes you will notice absolutely no mention of 3rd job change, therefor your requirements are 75/75, noblesse quest complete, compete in olympiad and have the highest points and at least 5 matches in your main profession to become a hero.

Now as my statement was that neither hero, noblesse, nor a sub-class are requirements for the 3rd job change, my arguement still stands. That statement was made directly at your's implying that the hero status is required to achieve 3rd job change.

As proof of this here is a quote on the requirements for 3rd job change.

Third Class Transfer

Characters who have reached Level 76 can obtain new occupations in the third class transfer.

As you can see, again there is no mention of noblesse, hero, or sub-classes as requirements.
Ok, maybe this is all on a fault of miscommunication, I'll reword what I am trying to say.

You require 75 main class, and a 75 sub class to achieve Noblesse, Correct?

you can only competete if your a noblesse correct?

and you can only compete if you have done your third job change (this is apparent because if you check the scores of hero from the olympid manager its listed by 3rd job classes only)

With all these in mind, to even begin to compete for a hero you need to have LVL 76 main class, lvl 75 sub class AND done your 3rd class change, I am full aware that the olympid is not required to do your third job class AND a subclass is not required for the 3rd job change, i know this the topic of this thread is the olmpyd and being a hero, i think you mis-interpret what i was saying.

As for the topic at hand, i think it was already suggested but you might aswell wait for another shillien saint noblesse and do the class only competition. Your right though i don't play a healer and its probobly alot harder than i described, We are well aware that L2 korea sets the trend for L2 NA so... unless they see it deemed unfair your S.O.L untill something happens so you can either work with what you got or you can post about it not being fair untill the cows come home and watch as the other heros are chosen.

there are 3 healer classes in this game who have been done nothing but healing from 1 to 75, and all of a sudden they are thrown into an arena against a nuker and people say 'hey, be creative' 0_o wtf mate.

Exactly.
At least the EE/SE have self buffs and stats that would make using a bow somewhat feasible, if all their roots landed and then the other guy would just whip out a bow and shoot back...
What about us Bishops though?
Our buffs aren't exactly heroic. The only heroic things we have are our numerous spells to keep the party alive! Not to kill the other bugger. What shall we do? Heal them to death? Or is there a 'Turn Undead SA'? Then we could at least Hold and MoH them.

Also, a fight between two Cardinals...
That will require A LOT of coffee. o_x

You need to have done the most damage.

They need to do a very simple thing - substract damages healed from damages done, fixed. A Healer doing his job (healing) in LA would then be sufficiently capable of beating other classes by doing their job.

This is really the problem--a healer who takes damage and heals it back, even though he is never at any significant risk of death and could very easily finish the fight at 100% health, will lose due to raw damage done to him.

Anyone with a bow stands a pretty good chance of taking less damage than the healer, even if the healer should be winning by attrition. Your main strategy seems to be "grab a ranged weapon as a non-ranged class, and hope your opponent wasn't smart enough to do the same thing". Makes me kind of glad I don't really plan to compete with my buffers, even if they reach that level someday
Do what we're doing, have a clanmate throw a match when they fight the healer. All but one of our healers has no competitor in the Oklympiad yet so we just threw our matches vs our healers so they automatically get to be hero.

Yep, the Olympiad is poorly conceived, but so is PVP in general in this game so it's nothing unusual.
If that was your initial meaning then indeed yes you did state the wrong thing by implying that hero was needed for 3rd job change.

and you can only compete if you have done your third job change (this is apparent because if you check the scores of hero from the olympid manager its listed by 3rd job classes only)

If this is the case then it is not a miscommunication on either side. It is one more bug that ncsoft missed. If you read the rules fully it does NOT require you to have the third job at all. Having the third job change however will give the main a distinct advantage.

If you mean that they are breaking down categories by 3rd job change titles (I haven't bothered to talk to the manager to see the lists yet) and listing the competitors as those classes, then I can see where there is a problem. If the rules state that you do not need the 3rd job change yet the game itself will not allow you to compete without it then ncsoft needs to fix it. If instead it does allow you to compete w/o the 3rd job change but only lists ppl in 3rd job change categories then it is a text issue that also needs to fixed.

However if it is simply listing the top competitors and they are all in 3rd job changes then perhaps this is only because their 3rd job change skills are allowing them to be in the lead. There was a pvp fight recorded on the pts of a hero paladin and a pheonix knight. In the end it was the pheonix knight that won.

As to the original topic. Even if you don't wait for another noblesse SE main to compete you might still luck out by getting at least one matchup against a non-ranged target or another healer based class. Other then that, with the 'winner goes to max damage output' rule, the healers are in for a major challenge in this competition without having friends/clannies/allies throwing a fight.
My god stop moaning, just lose 5 battles and win thru default, you dont even need 1 win to become a hero.

My god stop moaning, just lose 5 battles and win thru default, you dont even need 1 win to become a hero.

This is not the case. It is stated in the hero section (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/hero.html) that :
"The Hero will be the individual who has accumulated the most Olympiad points according to their main class, has competed more than 5 times in that period, and claimed at least 1 victory. The Hero will be placed in stand-by mode and exclusive abilities and weaponry are removed after the one month period."
hehe Ty kane was just about to put that ...but i'll reitterate
Straight from "The Library" Hero section.

Determining the Hero

Following a month-long PvP competition, the Hero is selected according to Olympiad points, and the Hero retains the title throughout the duration of the next month’s competition. The Hero is determined on the first day of every month.

The Hero will be the individual who has accumulated the most Olympiad points according to their main class, has competed more than 5 times in that period, and claimed at least 1 victory. The Hero will be placed in stand-by mode and exclusive abilities and weaponry are removed after the one month period.

For example, even if a player has accumulated the most Olympiad points in the current period, if he has competed less than 5 times or has never claimed a victory, he is ineligible to become a Hero; it is possible that periods may pass without a Hero being designated.

When two players with the same class have accumulated identical Olympiad points, the one who has competed most will be designated Hero.

Now i just don't think people quite realize the winner is determained by who does the most damage in a 2 min time period.
i would like to add i had a BO with focus a Carnage bow and +7 homunk to try and land roots.
The root and shoot method seems like a nice idea sure, works in the arena right?

Understand this, 3rd job people most likely chose Wisdom passive skill "protects against hold sleep and mental attacks,
And i can only use regular sps.
Also everyone's already wise to the root and shoot method, Thus carries a bow on them ;)
These two combined makes my chance to land a root next to impossible so lets leave this scenario alone. It don't work i tried many many times.

It may say that but that isnt the case, experiance on the PTS has proved that anything NC say is lies. Im positive you dont need 1 win, go ahead and lose 5 battles and i bet you become hero.

Get a crit slow bow geez. healers arnt gimped in pvp, there not great but in the right hands with the right equipment they can beat other classes.
sorry sps but i've played healer a looooong time and i agree to disagree :)

I refuse to change my current tat setup just for hero competition.
too expensive and would gimp my Healing abilities

*on a side note* lets not forget that melee classes get the haste buff automatically incase anyone didn't realize that.
If your not willing to get pvp setup then you cant moan about being gimped at pvp, thats like me saying, "no way am i using heavy armour to pvp, not giving up my light armour!"
Seriously, just lose 5 or 6 battles and win thru default, ask for a tie, or stop trying and go level a new pvp class.
K, anyways i'm done replying ty for your comments everyone GL to all :)
stop whining, just try and try until u meet a bishop or EE in competiton.... I don't think any class self buff can kill EE/SE/Prophet/Bishop in 2 mins but i'm hella sure that a SE can out damage an EE and bishop for sure.

I have a SE 65 on bartz and this whining attitude from another servant of Shilden make me ashame of my class T_T
Replying to OP because I'm replying to generic opinion, not a specific post.

The competition isn't designed badly/"broken" because it forces healers to PvP 1v1. Healers PvPing 1v1 is fully acceptable.

Healers' chief ability (like, healing) not counting towards the result, however, is ridiculous.

As I said, the fix for all of this is the very simple - just substract "HP healed" from "damage dealt" and you're on fair territory again.
What I find oddest about this thread is that EE's are even worse off than SE's. SE's at least have root higher than level 9, and offensive buffs like guidance that are crucial to a healer. EE's? What, you're going to advanced block them to death?

If they wanted the event to be even close to fair, they need to disable all scrolls and potions, so there can be NO outside buffs or healing. And they need to change the way victory is determined. Most health left instead of damage done.
You cant use scrolls or potions during the olympiad...All you can use are sonic charge stones, fire crackers etc.

this is correct, The system is fine, the problem here is player in question lack of creativity. This is a PVP game, and just because your a healer doesn't mean you get an easy ride in a PVP competition.

Heros are Heros for a reason because they can stand above the rest, not because they can stand, sit and heal. Healers and buffers are not excluded from the fact that this competition is PVP based. I disagree with this completely.

Heroes should be the absolute BEST in their class. What does 1v1 pvp have to do with being a good healer? Absolutely NOTHING. The best healers are those that can keep their party alive in a wide variety of situations - against mobs, in pvp, while being ganked, etc. They are those that can respond quickly when needed, throw off massive BSpS heals to several different party members on the brink of death without allowing even one to die, know which classes like which buffs, know how to manage not only their mp but their party's mp as well (I hate the recharges who sit at full mp forever and wait to recharge you till you're at 200 mp), and use wisdom when deciding when they should rez and when they should leave you.

How does 1v1 prove which person is the most capable healer? In my opinion, it doesn't. There is an SE on my server who is truly a horrible healer, but somehow made it to 75 (her many boyfriends helped her) and I suppose her subclass is now close to 75 as well. It will disgust me if she becomes a hero - she's a HORRIBLE healer! She talks on the phone while she's playing, forgetting to heal and recharge. If there's another healer in the group, she lets them do everything, till they're completely out of mp, while she does nothing. And yet she could become hero - the best of the best - simply because she can win a competition that has nothing to do with a healer's job? Ridiculous.

I can see other classes being judged on their ability to 1v1, even prophets. But healers? What would you say if in siege, your healer ran to the front lines and started 1v1 other players while your hp just kept going down and down? Wouldn't you be ticked? You'd yell at them to get away from there, get back behind you and DO THEIR JOB! A healer's job is healing, not 1v1.

It doesn't make a healer a bad player if they can't 1v1, that's not what we judge good healers by. So why is the Olympiad judging healers by their ability to 1v1?
Listof if you're on bartz I bet I know who you're talking about :D
i agree with listof

However most prophets arent doing damage in pvp either. Prophet goes around root and ninja rezzing people in pvp giving haste might and shield upon rez (or acumen bezerk and shield if your a nuker)

Just doing that in pvp a prophet alone can turn the tied in battle.
I think the olympiads design theory is fine, its just buggy as hell.
Why it is judged by ability 1v1? "Because it is pvp game"
OK, but then why some classes completely lack any pvp damage dealing and defending abilities?
Option is either redo the Olympiad system, give pvp skills ... or exclude such classes from it. Noone plays them anyway, they are all boxed, so who cares? :-/
The idea is that the healers figh with themselves using the class based games. If there isnt 4-5 of that class then you can win thru default, all you need is 5 games and at least 1 point left. In the case of a tie then the healer with the most games win. Besides, healers can beat daggers and pure melee classes if they know how to fight.
Healers aren't meant to be hero's, stop whining and let the big boys fight it out. Perphaps the Hero will let you tag ago and heal them when they go pvp somewhere.
i dont know a dagger in the competition that didnt have a bow though Kratos.
Healers dont even need to be hero's they cant exactly do heroic deeds or make full use of the weapon SA's.
It is supposed to be about the best of each class, correct.

Unfortunately most people eligable for this competition right now and the first heroes will be those who broke the EULA in many ways in order to get there.

There will be several farmer Heroes on Gustin in a few weeks for example.
I don't know about you, but I think it takes a pretty **** good strategic healer to make it to the top and become a hero. Why? Well the healer only ever heals themselves and buff right? Buffs give them a slight edge, then it's up to them to choose their weapon of choice, be able to wield that weapon without the proper skills, and also heal yourself at the same time, so that you don't die.

Sounds pretty complicated to me. Healer Heroes would have to be able to become a jack of all trades, in order to secure their title. Because of their normally weak p. def, they would have to compensate by healing. The problem with this is that, while you're healing yourself, you do no damage to the other player. In sooth, you really are much more vulnerable while you're healing, as opposed to not. Sure you could heal yourself...but the other player could crit and then it could be worthless.

Healers, do not be discouraged by this. If you make it to the top, you honestly have a standing ovation from me, because it was probably real hard to get there.
All they have to do is fight their own class when there is enough to compete. Untill then win thru default and count yourself lcuky tbh. And the damage idea is crap, healers would be unstoppable, they could just hurt the player for more damage then their own personal CP total eg 3k, then just spam sleep/root and battle heal on self untill fight ends.
Very well said. :)

By the way, a lvl 78 Prophet get's the Prophecy of Fire, though I don't really know how good it is. Though a Prophet's own buffs make him pretty good already...

yes i've seen prophets win, they can wear heavy armor. They aren't a bad 1v1 self buffed pvp class, everyone knows that, thats not the issue. Can Bishops and EE's even stand a chance to win? I'm assuming SE's could win because they have decent buffs (emp, might/shield/focus/dw) etc. And they could win especially when they hit 78 and have been building up their power for some time. They could beat new Noblesse I'm sure.

That's exactly why I wrote that. Because I wouldn't actually compare a Prophet, or rather a Hierophant, to any of the other three support classes. That's rubbish with their skill list...

SSs get the 'spirit of an assassin' buff. Together with the Dark Eelves' racial mods and focus/dw/vr/etc, this sounds pretty much like a good thing to use a DLE with crit dmg or something.

ESs get a Prophecy too, though it's 'the spirit of an ancient wizard'...
So, uh, phear their lvl 5 windstrike? <_<
I assume this will be pretty much useless in 1v1 pvp. I'll gladly be proven wrong, though. =7

Cardinals get Mass Shield debuff and Mass Slow debuff, though I don't really know how that helps in a 1v1 at all. Both of those debuffs don't change the fact that a Cardinal is horrible with selfbuffs and whatever weapon, compared to any other class. >_<
