can any class use duals? i'm about to hit lvl 20 and before i spend a butt load of adena i fiugured i should ask. oh, and when i hit lvl 20 i'll be a cleric if that matters.
Any class can use Duals or anyother weapon for that matter. The question is will you get the most benefit ouf of using a particular weapon or no as each class is a master of some kind of a weapon, but can use any weapon out there.
but i wouldnt suggest any melee weapon for a mage anyway..
best choice is a 1-handed + shield
in ur early lvl u can still nuke good..
at the moment i am using a one handed staff i forget what it's called but it looks like a celtic cross and a bone shield. the funny thing is when i equip the shield my p.def. does not go up but my evasion goes down so i stopped using the shield. which is why i was looking at duals. has anyone else had the shield problem?
duals are an OK choice for a healer class in 20-39 range, after that i would suggest getting a staff or mage's sword with either mana up or acumen for your C weapon, since Special Abilities (SA's) start at C and go all the way up to S grade.
and Champa is completely correct about shield defense ^^ its much more noticeable against ranged physical than mellee physical... meaning archers or spear-throwing things, those hurt!
