Every now and again I'll rummage through the Korean L2 site. Hoping to find nuggets of...something, and usually watching the strange videos, or battle tournaments.
Anyway, I came across this. And its one of those things that really makes me wish I knew a bit of Korean. I am desperate to know what its about.

I've always thought that a list of banned toons would be nice. It really doesn't list anything to do with actual accounts, so I don't see the need for secrecy. A little public humiliation does a world of good! :)
I suggested to AshNC back in prelude that they should place the dead bodies of the toons in EG as if they were logged in but dead... leave them there for a few weeks with an NPC sign that you could click on and it would list the names of all the ones that were banned with the date, and reason... then the people that are new and hunting in EG can see first hand that it does them no good to Bot...
I think they need to be more active in dealing with Scammers too... I have been hit by a person trying the Same Name Scam a few times in the last month... as well as a few people in our alliance... We have not lost anything but... it only takes once for someone to be stupid and the Scammer gets a pay off...
But I don't think showing banned users would fly in US or in Europe, because companies privacy statement says they won't pass information on to 3rd party. And if you allowed them to do that, they would then also be allowed to pass on any information to others even if you aren't banned.
They may be able to do it... just add a line in to the EULA that says they can... once you click to log in you have agreed to let them post the info...
I mean rally after the first time reading it, if you even did that. Who reads it again, let alone everytime you log into game?
I would see it no differant then when the police post images of Johns from Postitute Stings or info online of known sex offenders...
You broke the law/rules you willnow be subject to public Display of your wrong doing...
Bring Back the Stocks and Public Hangings....
Hell if we want to get trully RP we could set the bodies on pikes and let them line the roads to castles as well as hang from castle walls... maybe even auction off the corpses? can you imagine being able to pay for your enemys corpse as a decoration for your castle wall, if they ever got busted?
