Could someone please tell me how you know where to go when you have taken a quest. As whenever I take a quest I have no indication of where to go, so far I have tried "Skirmish with the Orcs" and "Legacy of the Poet".
There is a 'Location' box in when you view your Quests in the Character Status mode. It will cause a yellow map pin to appear at the location of some quest mobs.
Read the actual NPC text. In 90% of all cases, it's sufficient for finding your quest targets. Also, don't be shy to use the map (alt+M) and quest tool (alt+u).
The guide for the Skirmish quest gives you the exact locations, using the /loc coordinates. Type /loc and you will get your current location in that system. Move a bit and /loc again. That will tell you which direction to go to find the Cheif.
The Orcs for the Legacy quest are in the first room of the elven fortress. It is on you map. Go out the SW exit, take the first left in the road, and cross the bridge.
alt+U, select the quest you wish to do, if it has multiple parts select the last section so that its description scrolls down. if theres a place to lead you to you will get a blue halo with an arrow to guide you to it, and a yellow pin on your map. click the "Target Loc." on the bottom of your map to find your yellow pin.
