item drop rate on mobs

i was wondering if there was anything that effects drop rates on items dropped by mobs? Like being a higher level than the mob and what not... thanks!
only if the mob is dark blue it drops way less
so then what makes it drop more?

and i didnt quite understand your sentance... if its dark blue it wont drop as much?
If the mob is dark blue, means your alot higher lvl than it, so it drops almost nothing every time you kill it. However, when fighting the dark red mobs you dont get more drops. The most drops you will get is from white/ yellow mobs. White/yellow mobs are with in your lvl range which means youll get the best drop rate.
White-Dark Red Normal Droprate
Green->Blue->Deep Blue Drop rate of XP , SP, and Items getting lower and lower

Green is still normal XP, SP rate
so is there a way to increase drop rates?
Yes, create a spioler dwarf
Dark red/Pink mobs low drop rate
Dark Blue/Light Blue low drop rate

Green-White-Yellow = Best

It all follows a nice pattern wich some people forget.

On a seperate note Cata-Necros arnt made for soloing unless u got lots of buffs and a healer. I see so many lowbies complaing about never having money for ss first questin i ask is were do u hunt. 90% of the time they say Cata-Necro. I ask why they say cuz xp is soooooooo great i say how long it tak you to kill. They usualy say a long time. I say do are u spamming ss and heal pots. Usualy the answer is yes. I tell them u get what 10-12k for one mobs takes u 3 min to kill. U can kill 1 x mob get 3k xp and not spam heal pots and kill 30 sec wich is better and it uses ur ss more effeicently. To many lowbies are cata -necro gung **. I aint aginst them dont get me wrong i have spent my fair share of time in them myself but they are made for a party or some one with buffers not for a lvl 41 with self buffs to go solo branded and then ask for money for ss or healing pots.

Sorry for my rant but that stuff urks me.
also seperat note the drop rate is equivilent to person doing most damge in party. If your healer sees mob as white but the mage sees dark red it will drop at the mages lvl.
Seeding also affects drop rates I think.
Seeding stops all drops (except for adena, seal stones or spoils) if the seed was sown.

Alternative seeds dont stop drops but because they are poor rate of crops no manors seem to sell them. (off topic: I would like to try some Alt seeds on higher levels where I'm afraid to miss a good drop)
first off, what is seeding?

second. i am currently level 20, almost 21. I have been going to abandoned camp (the one with the hyena people). All i get is Adena and thread.

i wanna fight stuff that drops the occasional weapon or equip piece, so i can use, or sell.

By all means, i am not looking for a "get rich scheme", more a "Get equipped" scheme.

my armor is falling behind, and i have the travelers bastard sword... but i ever expect to do any PVP, i need a different sword....
if you are looking to kill mobs and get drops to equip yourself... good luck...

Most full drop rates and in the high thousands... like 1 in 15,000 or come thing like that... and it changes from mob to mob...

Better to use all that free gear as long as you can and free ss/sps and save for D-grade if you can... or maybe they have an event soon... and you can get some sweet drops then...

First:
here (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/features/manorsystem/) is good manor guide, pretty complex description of what is needed. May be a bit C3 according to images, but basic is still the same. Also do some search on General discussion and Player guides forum on this beard.

Buy seeds from manor manager (they are in every town, but not sure about Dwarven and Orc village). Buy harvester. Check for seed levels - they have their range, your and mob's range has to be within it. Also check for what area you buy it - you cannot use oren seeds on Gludio's mobs and vice versa. Prior to killing a mob, seed the seed you purchased - use it, best to put it on hotbar. Status message will inform you if seeding was successfull or not. After mob dies, use harvester on it. Status message will inform you if harvesting was successfull or not, and how many fruits you obtained. Rince, repeat, until you seed all seeds. Then return to manor manager to exchange fruits for reward Reward is mostly basic materials necessary for crafting.

For details like how to raise success rate, how to get most fruits, how to exchange for materials with best buyback see hints in first paragraph.

Seeding eliminates standard drops - with exception of Alternative seeds. They do
NOT eliminate quest item drops, event items drops including sealstones, spoils and adena.

Second:
It's hard to get some drops in Lineage][ ... I would say they are pretty rare. Speacially full item drops. If you want to get some specific weapon or armour parts, it's best to find what monsters drop them, and try to farm those mobs. Sometimes it takes pretty long time to "farm" for something, sometimes you have all key items collected within one evening. Unfortunately there is no official information on drop tables, you have to relay on third party sites or other sources.

It's hard to get equipment at start ... usually first character is always broke until like 50s or so... sometimes always :-) Making "farming" alt helps - usually dwarf with spoil ability to get extra items, plus utilising manor system to it's max. Do not be dusguised by the fact your first character is broke with crappy equip ... for example my alt dwarves earned me Divine set prior I hit 40, and Blue Wolf just when I hit B grade. Finding clan that keeps you in parties and help gettign equipment always helps. Plus there are more effiient ways of getting adena than farming monsters ad infinitum ... manor system, 7 signs mammon trader and blacksmith, playing market, and do not forget quests.

If you expect to do any pvp, roll mage or archer ...
thnaks for all your info!!!
In a nutshell...
Here's what I do..

I try to find a mob that drops or spoils what it is I want. Since drops are a percent.. you know 1/100 or 1/152905928923..(more realistic). The goal should be to kill as many of those mobs as possible, as quickly as possible.

As noted above.. Green mobs have regular drop rate, but lt blue or less have reduced.

Typically if you can farm green mobs, you can kill more of them, faster, with less down time, which means more drops or spoils.
yeah, i have been killing whites so i get xp too.... so far i have gotten a few things... i just need to sell them now
