I am facing the 2nd class change with dwarf. I am eager to get to the 'warsmith' level because it's been in front of me since the artisan quest at lvl 20 was completed--staring me in the face!
At lvl 36 I researched the first of the 3 class change quests and began.
Immediately two more experienced friends told me to stop.
Their opinion was that it was too expensive and a waste of time to begin the 2nd class change before lvl 40--since you can't finish it anyway until then.
Their advice--wait till lvl 40 and do all 3 quests consecutively.
What's the general opinion? Do the class changes in order as soon as you are able, or, wait till lvl 40 and do all 3 quests and once?
Do all 3 quest's at teh same time, less runningm less time spent, takes me about one day to finish of a class transfer quest, no point waisting time doing them befor. Plus it's easier as your 40 and maby even in C grade.
It can cut the costs if you do all the quests at one time, but make sure to plan it out so you don't end up having to revisit the same place multiple times for different quests.
With my first character, I did all the quests as soon as I hit the required levels. It took me forever to finish them and I went broke on teleports. With my next four charactes, I wised up and waited until I was level 40.
Print out overviews for all three quests, throw on C grade gear and take good notes as you go along. There is a ton of overlap for the quests so you'll save quite a bit of adena and time doing them all at once.
In terms of effeciency, no question, do them all at once. You can often do multiple steps at once that way, it cuts way down on your teleporting, and you have the option of doing a level 3x quest with 4x gear.
Of course, it means you'll be spending all day on your class change quests. Ew.
Some people like to do them seperately, as they become available, because it breaks up the monotony of levelling and gives a sense of working toward a goal: "Score! I'm 2/3 of the way to my class change!"
I did all of mine at the same time (lvl 40)...I wanted to be able to solo thru the quests easily, and having C gear made it alot easier. Besides, when I hit lvl 36 I was in grind mode...made 40 2 days after 36 and my eyes bleed to this day.
Start them when they are awailable and do a bit of them if you hapend to be in the area for other reasongs. This milll u quest part done for when you hit 39-40 and finish them all.
Personaly I whant to be able to get all my skills when I hit 40, and this doing quests at 39 the latest.
