Owning Clan Hall& Castle?

We need more clan halls. Plenty of empty housing int he field that could be converted to clan halls. People owning both are just greedy.

It also be interesting to see where the game would go if one one castle could be held by the same alliance at a time.
There are lots of houses around Aden that would be perfect for that :) I mapped them out some time ago, but there are lots around Fellmere lake, intact ones around RoD and such. That would be cool.

No, people owning both are powerful. What makes you think adding more clan halls won't allow other castle owning pledges to buy them as well? :D
Still, more clan halls is really a must.
There's a lot of interesting houses, broken down churches, etc. all around Aden that I would love to see have some function.

It frustrates me because they could be so interesting, if there was even an NPC around to tell why there's an empty house sitting here on top of this hill, or why there's this beautiful, huge church with the walls knocked down and daises growing in the pews, but they just leave it there for you to wonder.

At least making them clan halls would give them some reason to exist. And they would be more like "hideouts" too, secret locations where the clan chooses to meet, while the town clan halls are more for show (although they have purpose too.)

owning a clanhall has nothing to do with powerfull. :o
Money = Power.
lmao not necessarily.

There's several clans on Gustin that own clan halls, but are not considered to be all that powerful.

It just means they have alot of **cough** buying power...

... and skymiles.
For lineage2, Money = gear which = power.
IRL, money = pay for bribes/weapons/employee cronies
I would like to see more use for those buildings, but there should definitely be too few clan halls to go around. It helps foster the competitiveness that drives L2.

Perhaps just "hideouts" rather than more clan halls--you can use some form of SoE to them, but you can't get buffs or more than a couple teleport locations from them.
What I would like to see is some way of wresting a clan hall from it's current owner. As it stands, there are clans where the clan leader quit or was banned, but there is so much money in the vault that they will have the hall until the fall of 2032. The members can even continue to put money in there.

Now.. if you could somehow contest the clan hall.. summon all the player from both sides to a special arena and let em duke it out for ownership.. now that would be fun!!
I dont like the idea that property which has cost you so much money, hundereds of mills, could just be stolen by e-gangsta's.

Tell me what power is in L2, seems like we have a misunderstanding of that term.
The ability to stomp other people into dust and leave them at your mercy. PvP clans basically run the server (after bots that is)
(mass) pvp = about strategy. sure gear helps, but doesn't make you allmighty and unbeatable the second you have A grade.

A clan that ebayed their selves to the top aren't necessarily powerful ,the people in control of that gear need to have a basic sense of what they are doing and co-operating with eachother.

Just because you own a gun doesn't mean every shot hits the head or the heart ;p
Its really not to hard to play a nuker is it, click the melee's name, press nuke f key x5. click new targets name....
Same for archers really, and there the 2 classes which bbq the siege fields.
like I said.. 1v1 isn't strategy.

clan vs clan requires strategy.
you have no idea how often you see people walking in 1 big line because the fastest classes won't slow down for the slower classes, wich results in a slaughter of the fastest (normally also lowest mdef classes) classes followed by the slower classes.

... and skymiles.

Absolutely hilarious. Yet so very, very true.
Actually i do have an idea as im one of the slower classes and always play this way. But a group of hardcore experianced pvp'ers with average kit wont be able to beat the possibly less experianced side with the massivly OE'd top gear.

hardcore experienced pvp'ers won't have average kits in the first place, this discussion wasn't about mediocre gear and lots of experience against uber gear with less experience, but about money = instant power, wich I still find is not.
If someone came along and dropped 1bill adena in my lap, i would become instantly powerfull, as i would buy massivly OE'd gear and be able to spam pots/shots etc without worry, makeing me stronger. Also i would not fear deaths or going red as i would know i can replace my gear. Also i would be able (not that i would/need to) to buy my way in to top clans/peoples friends list. As for sieges could also afford to spam siege golems/cp pots. Money = Power anyway you look at it.
yes for you it will, because you'd know how to deal with the money by experience. :)

don't underestimate the stupidity of some ebayers, i've heard of several occasions where people bought gear for their so called friends, only to be dumped the moment they ran out of cash.

see RL lottery, and the amount of people who end up broke in the end by it, because they don't know how to deal with those amounts of cash.
